List of Mario Oliver's Reviews
Dr Mario Oliver of Graybill Medical is a terrible Dr who absolutely DOES NOT CARE about you as a human being at all!!! BEWARE & RUN AWAY go elsewhere if you want a real Dr to give you actual CARE!! He is a dr for the money only! Greed is why he goes to work each day. He wants to make the most money off of you in reach visit but he DOES NOT care at all about you or your illnesses or injuries!! He gives horrble care, he treats you like a new patient each time with no acknowledgement of past visits or that he even has a clue what is going on with you even with your medical history in from off him. He should not be practicing medicine on anyone.

BEWARE & RUN AWAY from Dr Oliver of you want any decent medical care, go elsewhere if you want a real Dr to give you actual health CARE!! He is a dr for the money only & he treats his patients like scum on his shoes!!!! Greed is why he goes to work each day because it sure isn't because he cares about his patients. He is a Dr that lies, so you never know if what is coming out of him is true & valid or not! Frightening!! He wants to make the most money off of you in reach visit but he DOES NOT care at all about you or your illnesses or injuries!! He gives truly horrble care becausehe doesn't actually care about you, he treats you like a new patient each time with no acknowledgement of past visits or that he even has a clue what is going on with you, even with your medical history in from of him. He should not be practicing medicine on anyone. He told 4 opposing things to do and when asked to clarify he wasn't able to explain himself or his contradictions. He shouldn't be allowed to practice medicine on a goldfish!
I've been a patient at Graybill for over 6 years. I've been a patient of Dr. Oliver's for just about a year. I saw him initially for a pre-op visit when my usual primary care doctor was out on medical leave. During that first visit Dr. Oliver was curt and condescending. I chalked it up to the fact that I wasn't one of his regular patients and that he was put out by the rush appointment. However, after my usual PCP left Graybill I decided to give Dr. Oliver a chance since I'd seen him once before, he'd also seen my husband and his office is close to home. I only saw him one time after that and once again he was condescending and rude. I had planned to switch to a different Graybill Dr. when I needed to be seen again. In the meantime, I'm taking several medications that require regular refills. Every single time my pharmacy puts in a request for a refill with Dr. Oliver, it has never once refilled without me having to call Graybill to follow up on. Each time I call I hold for over 20 minutes ( this is a consistent issue they have ). I was recently on vacation and forgot to pack one of my medications. I called the after hours line and left an urgent message for Dr. Oliver to call in a 5 day prescription to a local pharmacy. I stressed the urgency. I Never got a call back from anyone and the pharmacy which I had provided detailed information for never received the okay to fill the prescription. I called the following day, held for 20 minutes and finally just hung up. I ended up calling the office that my former PCP moved to. He was able to contact the out of state pharmacy and I had the prescription filled within half hour. I never write reviews and dislike writing a negative review, but after just hanging up with my pharmacy who once again advised me that they've been trying to reach Dr. Oliver for refill authorization for two weeks and have had no reply after several attempts, I felt it necessary. It's disappointing that his bedside manner and tone towards his patients is lacking, but his inability and disinterest in providing basic care ( doing his job) is unacceptable. I'll be changing doctors, which obviously has no impact on Dr. Oliver, but when the opportunity arises, when I'm asked if I know of a good dr. in town, I'll be quick to tell them which dr. to stay away from.
I really liked Dr. Oliver ever since the first time I met him at his office. However, getting a call back is impossible.Dr. Oliver works with "Graybill" and all phone calls go throughsome office in San Diego. It actually takes well over 30 minutes just toleave a message. In the last 2 weeks, I have left 3 messages and my wife has left 1.Still no call back.*I even walked into the office, asking for resolution, still none.I guess my wife and I need to start looking for another doctor.Does anyone know of one that returns calls within a day or so?Ron
My regular primary care physician, Dr. Matta, was out of town, so I saw Dr. Oliver instead via telemedicine. At the beginning of my appointment, he greeted me with the previous patient's name - this was not a big deal, but did not feel great! When Dr. Oliver asked why I had come in for an appointment, he didn't let me finish my explanation (I had a flare up of rashes, fatigue, muscle cramps) - he told me that I was just naming random symptoms, he couldn't take my concerns at face value, and could not see my skin clearly enough through the video camera on my computer. At that point, he nearly refused to help me. He also asked me what my concerns were several more times out of confusion, which would not have been confusing if he would've just listened. I proceeded to ask for routine blood work since it had been several years since last had blood work, just to make sure that my flare up wasn't related to that. He initially said he could not just do lab work for no reason; however, after a long discussion, he later changed his mind and allowed me to get blood work. I also mentioned that my dermatologist had given me a steroid cream for the rash and it wasn't helping. Dr. Oliver kept referring to my rash as "acne", and saying that my dermatologist doesn't know what she's doing by giving me a steroid cream for "acne". I had to explain multiple times that it's not acne - it's a rash.I don't normally write reviews, but I did not feel great walking away from this appointment. I didn't feel like Dr. Oliver listened to me or took me seriously. Additionally, I felt like he was condescending toward me and my dermatologist.I know this is a difficult time for everyone, but there is no excuse for that kind of patient treatment. I wish him well, but I hope Graybill sees this and talks to him about it!Positive note: Dr. Oliver's nurse was very kind and did an amazing job getting me set up for my telemedicine appointment!Update: I just got my lab work results back: I had a severe vitamin D deficiency and he had to prescribe me high doses of vitamin D for 8 months. I'm really glad I went with my gut and pushed him to give me routine blood work. I hope Dr. Oliver learns how critical it is to listen to patients and take them seriously, because I could have ended up more sick!
Dr Oliver is a great doctor. He is very professional with an excellent bedside manner. Unfortunately his staff are absolutely awful. They do not refill prescriptions on time, they do not return phone calls promptly & they are very rude & refuse to admit to their own errors giving you nothing but excuses.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
