List of Nalan Narine's Reviews
I went here due to family members concern in October of 2022, my condition led me to not be in the best state of mind and having problems with memory and even speaking they were not allow my mother nor my significant other past triage even though they knew I had troubles speaking and remembering things. I made the mistake of going to the bathroom while in the external waiting room so I was not able to do a pee cup right away, they pumped me for fluids in about an hour later I was able to do the test. But when I handed it to the nurse in charge of the internal waiting room it took a half hour before she took it back to the labs. And another 3 hours later totaling to about 5 hours in the ER most of them being in the internal waiting room I was told I was just having panic attacks over several days progressively getting worse apparently now I'm no medical professional but panic attacks spanning multiple weeks and with the symptoms I had doesn't really happen. To add on to this I was a forward set the time because my medical issue messed my brain and balance yet by hour I think it was three I was leaning up against the wall in the internal waiting room because the seats were so uncomfortable and many nurses/doctors walked in and out didn't let the nurse in charge of the waiting room now now I'm asked what was going on why I was standing and seem to have little to no concern which I get it there's a lot going on but still makes me think what about patience with more severe risks. Not the best experience. I only had three nurses that did well the one that gave me my IV the one that took vitals and the one that took me to a CT scan every other one and even the doctor seem to have little concern or care.
Came to Er at 8am with “blind spot” in middle of visual field with eye pain and head pain. Started out ok and things were moving along then after 6!hours I asked if they haven’t discharged me because the got busy and md overwhelmed and they told me I’m waiting for a bed for fluids and pain med. They had offered morphine and Zofran when they put iv in but I knew I’d be hanging out in the waiting room for awhile and there’s nothing worse than sitting in a waiting room and being so sleepy you just want to lay down. Besides my pain wasn’t bad enough for pain meds. When i asked an hour later if it’s just hydration I’m waiting on I was asked why I refused it earlier. I didn’t refuse fluids I refused morphine and Zofran. The triage nurse was a bit snappy. Then a patient was in the waiting room coughing like crazy and went to sit and let a person Know she didn’t want to sit close to their baby because she has Covid. She has remained in the wr coughing and sitting next to other patients. Seriously?? I almost bypassed this hospital and will forever remember to keep driving on past. Also my mom was a patient here in 2020 and kept getting less responsive. I was allowed to come in and see her as I am an RN also and knew something just wasn’t right. While looking at her labs on the computer with the RN we found she had a blood sugar if 300. It had been missed for 13 days of her being in the hospital!!! They started her on insulin and she started waking up. Someone also stole $100 bill from her purse while she was there and nothing was ever done about it. I’ll never return here!
The worst place ever. Might as well die. I come in almost feinting with my guts coming out and they tell me to wait. Hours and hours later I’m still here. Rude and incompetent workers. What a waste of time coming here.
I had surgery there
This is by far the worst hospital ever. they sit you here just like a bunch of animals.. the duration of ER visit to be seen is forever. The ER nurses and everyone here is not nice.. everyone has a mean face like they don't want to be here.
Missed Pancreatic Cancer, then didn't treat immediately; It's difficult for the average person to reach a doctor, nurse, or correct sub-department calling their phone system; seems designed to make you give up. A "highly regarded" education institution should make communication a fundamental part of their philosophy on several levels; and be user friendly. I felt rushed and "processed" instead of cared for. My best friend and maybe yours; has passed now. Obviously; seeking other providers in the future.
My husband was told to go to this hospital. Hindsight is 20/20 if you find yourself in the area and need emergency care tell the ambulance driver to head south to anyone of the highly rated San Diego hospitals. Nothing was handled with any hint of efficiency.
Best care ever . Took my son to rancho springs for my child having trouble breathing and was sat down for nearly two hours with no help after asking how many people in front they told me I was next and 3-4 people were called I walked out came here a was helped as soon as I walked in was checked in and helped by a Dr. With in 5 mins #1 hospital around thank you Loma linda
My granddaughter was taken there as a suicide attempt, my granddaughter and daughter were treated terribly!! The nurses were discussing that my granddaughter's attempt was only for attention in the doorway and she over heard it all. What is the matter with staff that had no compassion? At best they should have been professional and kept their mouths shut! This was a traumatic time for are whole family and the treatment of the situation made it even worse! My daughter was given a hard metal chair to sleep on, the room was filthy and only two staff were kind through a two day stay. Shame!!
I had a high opinion of this hospital as a family member of a patient, but as a patient, no. I am a nurse in the hospital myself. You can hear the staff talking bad and gossiping about patients in triage, and in the back. I was so disappointed. I won't be going back.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
