List of Nicholas Celano's Reviews
I have a condition that will be needing surgery to fix the problem. I was give a surgery date that does not work because after surgery I need radiation. ROSE surgery scheduler is very rude and has skipped me for a date the Dr had added to do surgery. Know Rose is trying to give me an apt till August. Mean while I have to deal with with the pain. Rose does not know what I have to deal with. Dr Sateesh even wrote on my file that I can just show up for treatment any time as a walk in. Well I did do a walk in once and I had to wait for an opening untill they can see me. I had to wait 45 min. I was told by the front seat when got there that I could be seen but I had to wait and I'll be seen when they can get me in. I asked how long. I was told they don't have a time frame which could be an hour or less or more. I was seen with in 45 min. A patient was 45 min late to his apt and I was there already and he went in before me after being late to his sept 45 min late. My Dr Sateesh was not there but was seen by De Solan. He was very help full and did even said that I did need surgery to fix this and he was the one that mentioned Dr U had opened one more day to do surgery. Someone would call me to schedule surgery because this is absolutely ridiculous to keep on going in every 2/3 weeks for treatment. Is too much. I just called today being concern about the other day Dr U opened another day to preform surgeries and my LUCK ROSE assist the day if full AND NO ONE CALLED. There is no regency to Rose at ALL AND SHE KNOWS WHATS GOING ON. Very Upset about how she takes this. Worse there at the Office.
The front desk lady's are really rude. Some nurses as well they weren't any help with services I was given.
Dr Nicholas Celano is rude and disrespectful. He rushed everything I had questions he didn't have time to answer. But always has time to ask about vaccination then be extremely rude about why I haven't gotten it yet. When I ask if he has any sources or info for me to look up he has nothing. He never even asked why I haven't gotten it. He just asked if I have hesitancy....he doesn't want to have a Convo or present anything that might convince me to get vaxed. Him being a rude dickhead to someone who has done research and is still seeking resources for information is NOT going to convince anyone to get vaxed. In fact I feel it's even more bullshit if a doctor can't give me resources for information on an injection he is pushing. We will have problems if he's rude to me again next time I come. He better have facts and resources if he's gonna keep pushing this shit on me. I will make a scene and educate your doctor if he does this next time I'm there!!!!
The front desk lady working Monday morning, is not friendly or helpful. She's a bit a rude. Just trying to push people through. She makes the office atmosphere neither inviting or a place to be. I'm sure they are so busy and overwhelmed but that not an excuse to have terrible costumer service.
It was my first visit at El Cajon Dermatology clinic for a patch test. SD Family Dermatology at National City does their patch test at this branch. Receptionist was nice, ushered me in within 5 mins and saw the doctor within 15mins. The assistant came in, introduced herself as the assistant and ask questions how my medications are helping and left. Came back to give me a gown. The male doctor (Dr Cohen) came in with the assistant but the female assistant left the room while the doctor was explaining the procedure. It was explained that the procedure will last about 15-20 mins, a patch will be placed on my back to test about 87 substances that I might be allergic to. I'm not to shower for 48hrs.I've waited over an hour but no one came to do the patch. 25 mins into waiting I kept looking out the door and hallway to see anyone around whenever I would hear people talking but no one within my sight. There was no call button in the room to call the desk. I was thinking the staff might be busy and would give them time.My husband who was in the waiting room alerted them, what was the hold up why I haven't been done by then. 3 staff went in the room and found me waiting and was so apologetic. The nurse did the patch on my back within 20 mins I was done. Before we left we spoked with the manager and want her to investigate. I followed up at National City branch with 3 different doctors on 3 separate dates. The first 2 dates following I was told that they didn't find any reactions to any substances that were tested but I was allergic to paper tape that was placed to secure the patch. On the 3rd visit that followed, they also told me that they didn't find any reactions BUT to find out that the El Cajon clinic did not do the full patch test but only half of the supposedly 87 substances. With all these 3 follow up visits I told the doctors at National City clinic that I'm not going back to the El Cajon branch and told them about my bad experience. With all the hassle of waiting, itching and not able to bathe for total of 72 hours ( I was told not to bathe for another day to check for any extended reactions beyond 48hrs), the patch test was not completed in its entirety. What a waste of time and money !
1st call put on hold for 10 mins then they hung up. Second call on hold for 30 mins and then they came back and asked for all my information again and said my Medicare number was invalid. She had spelled my name wrong after I phonetically spelledit out. Then another hold so I merged a second call and got another girl and have verified my info with her now severs times. I'm on a 3rd hold with her now. Complete incompetence! Over an hour to make appointment. Will update review after appointment if the dr is worth the hassle
My family member went there for a procedure (2-3 hours) in February, came down with covid symptoms 5 days later, hospitalized and died 5 weeks later. He never went anywhere. That was the only place he went in a long time and spent that much time with others. Please make sure everyone at your clinic is fully vaccinated.
This was my first visit here & Dr.Brooke, she was extremely rude & disrespectful. I understand their is stressful days but you don't take it out on your patients. Very unprofessional, will not be coming back. please look further to other dermatologist. have a blessed day
Wish I never went here for Balanitis! Both Dr. Crowly and Dr. Celano NEVER told me they were giving me STEROID creams. More importantly they DID NOT TELL ME THE SIDE EFFECTS OF TAKING THEM! Had I known the side effects of them, I wouldn't have taken them especially for as long as I did. Dr. Celano didn't tell me that cleaning my penis was part of the treatment until the 3rd or 4th time I went. He doesn't tell me how much or little of the cream to put on. When I tried to tell him how much I was putting on, so he can tell if I am putting too much or too little, he rushed me off the phone. He's so rushed and doesn't answer most questions especially the most important ones! Every time I told him the creams were not working, he just offered a stronger and stronger cream.... I didn't know at the time but they were STEROID CREAMS! And I didn't know until my last few days I was taking them that it PERMANENTLY thins out the skin on your penis. I asked him is it still safe to take the cream(s) in a text and no answer. I looked up the side effects and he didn't say it was safe or not, so I stopped all treatment he was giving me and told him and found another dermatologist. When he was culturing my stuff I asked, "What are you doing there? What's all that?" he said, "nothing for you to worry about." He finally gave me antibiotics and switched them after he found out in the culture it was bacteria. Then the next morning was my appointment he said he was giving me a STRONGER cream again.... and I asked him, "Is that really necessary? I JUST started taking the new antibiotics you gave me last night. Maybe the antibiotics will be enough." He still insisted on giving me yet another STRONGER steroid! If I didn't stop treatment myself, the skin on my penis would be transparent! Sadly I was unaware of this horrible side effect until a month and a half into taking all the many many many powerful steroid creams Dr. Celano gave me. So now I am sitting here very depressed as no girl is gonna love me long term cuz the skin on my penis is thinned out. The new dermatologist even looked at it and said, "yeah, it's thinning out already. There's no reversing that." It is also too sensitive to even do anything since the layer of skin on my penis is so thin! Had me on powerful steroid creams with no breaks. NEVER TOLD ME it could thin out skin! He even asked me after the 3rd visit each time, "What's bothering you?" SERIOUSLY? Yeah, it's called I have redness on my penis and irritation and I want them to go away! DUH! They refused STD screening saying, "since you didn't have sex in 7 months before you got this, it's not an STD." Also they refuse to let me pee in a cup for lab testing. Peeing in a cup always seemed to help before when I had a similar problem. They, my primary doc, would then give me the proper antibiotics to cure it, but nope, not in San Diego Family Dermatology. This might sound weird, but after I stopped Celano's treatment and prayed for my penis to get better, at least the irritation went away (after a few days of absolutely zero treatment).. and the redness on my penis faded.... not went away completely, but faded.. with no treatment. I'm extremely depressed because I have an even worse penis now than I did going there! My sex life and even masturbation life is totally over because they have quack doctors who don't know what the fuck they are doing! They didn't warn their patients of SEVERE SIDE EFFEFCTS and they didn't take me off of it after 14 days like they should have! Now I am just hoping to die of a heart attack soon, so I can end this extremely horrible life! The last cream he gave me was a tiny tube and I said, "Whoa that looks scary!" meaning I don't want to take it and also it looks like it'd have some bad side effects, which it did. After I said it looks scary and showed disinterest, instead of telling me the side effects of it, which by the way is the WORST SIDE EFFECT IN THE WORLD, he said, "It's not that scary." Easy for HIM to say! HE'S not the one taking it. It's not HIS PENIS losing it's firmness and thickness of it's skin. Now just laying down even hurts as a tiny simple nearly non-existent touch like my shorts on it hurts it. I can't believe this guy actually passed his doctor degree exam to treat skin conditions! He should have his doctor license revoked! I came to him to cure balanitis and after I saw him multiple times, he gave me something MUCH WORSE than balanitis! What kind of licensed doctor prescribes stronger and stronger STEROID creams to a patient??? I pray to God that I get the thickness & firmness of skin back on P. Save your penis, save your sanity, save your mental health, and don't go here if you are a guy! You'll ruin your penis going here!Side note: Celano does get right to the point with other stuff, never late, and good at removing skin tags. And the front desk seem to be friendly to me in my personal experience with them.
I tried to give this place another try. Because thinking maybe the first time was just a bad day but NOPE the people at this office are just as bad if not worse . I needed to make a first time appointment for my child. I held for 10 minutes then put on hold twice and was told they would NOT accept me because I'm cash pay. I asked the reason and she said because we would have found out he has insurance anyway. I have never called an office who isn't accepting cash paying patients . I was expecting to pay more considering I'm out of pocket and was prepared for whatever was needed but the vibe I get from this place is not worth trying. Don't waste your time and money . I made an appointment with someone tomorrow who was willing to fit me in fast and gave cash discount! NEVER AGAIN- Horrible customer service ! Deserves 0 stars PS DO NOT CONTACT ME TO GET THIS REMOVED LIKE YOU DID BEFORE
