We found the overall experience at Paradise Village to be impressive. Carolyn did a great job with the tour and it made our decision so much easier when our mother’s needs increased to have her reside there. The staff, caregivers and programs are first class and were reasonable priced. We now have two sets of parents there in different care levels, Paradise Village was at the top list of our choices.

In 2019, we looked around for senior living communities san diego and my dad ended up being a resident here for just 2 months before we moved him to https://silvergaterr.com/ because of one reason. The food is awful. Not especially healthy or fresh. In this day of improved knowledge of nutrition and the huge importance of gut health, sad to say Paradise falls flat on their hip.

Ronda and the staff there are all friendly and super nice. She was able to give me a tour of the facilities and even got to try their lunch menu. Top notch place with people who care.

A loving, supportive community, even during the time of Covid. So glad our Mom has made her home there.

I have lived at Paradise Village for 6 years.From the day we walked through the front door and were greeted witha warm smile and hello .To the consultant who gave us an overview of price andvarious apartments to choose from based on our needs.To our walk around to observe the happy outgoing Staff and busypeopleTo the tasty and enjoyable lunch as we watched the Interaction between theServers and the residents .To coming back the next day and signing the paperwork.To why such a snap decision? clearly those living and working here were happy.We moved in a week later.I call Paradise Village a Cruise Ship that never leaves port.And like a Cruise ship we enjoyed all the activities, parties and madewonderful friends .Sadly my husband Norton passed away 2 years later but unlike beingalone in my house with our children concerned about my being aloneI was surrounded by friends .And then the Light Bulb moment of reality ! What a wise decisionwe made that day 6 years ago to move here.

I moved into Paradise Village, assisted living (Cedars) in June 2019.I should have received my first long-Term-Care insurance check from Mutual of Omaha by about Sept first.  Cedars personnel  were incompetent and slow in furnishing documents needed by MOA so they could   get a claim number, process the information, etc.  It took  Cedars  from Sept, Oct, Nov, to early Dec to complete the needed documentation.  By  Oct first I had paid $5,200 per mo x 6 months, or, $31,200  out-of-pocket.  Dec first I told them  I  could not pay my rent.  I  had  used up every available source of income I had;  including  surrendering  my  Long-Term-Care insurance.  Bill Lawson told me:  "If  you can't pay your rent, go live some place else."  They had a car waiting  with a sales lady in it to drive me to other places to live.  I am corresponding  with  Mr.  Wendell White to see if he can  do  anything for me,  he  is  the  CEO  in charge of Paradise Village.I would not recommend Paradise Village.

I love living here! Great community of people. Well appointed independent living apartments and lots of amenities. Activities for anyone and everyone. A beautiful setting.
