List of Vimal I. Nanavati's Reviews
Very caring and comfortable doctor.i prayed and asked for good doctor I believe prayer was answered.
Dr. Nanavati provided a very professional and comfortable first experience for both my husband and myself. We both felt confident that he is very competent and thorough in his diagnosis and follow up. He was attentive, answered all of our questions, was respectful and pleasant. I can't say enough positive things about our experience. We would highly recommend him based on our experiences.
My first appointment with Dr Nanavati was one of the best interactions with a cardiologist during last several years. He was found to be a very knowledgable, caring, friendly physician who pays attention to all of your concerns, listens to you with patience and answers all of your questions. I have been a patient at this center in Redding and am really happy to have Dr Nanavati here to be my cardiologist.
I just had my initial visit with Dr. Nanavati and was very impressed. He is attentive, very knowledgeable, listens, explains clearly and completely, made me feel comfortable and not rushed.
ABSOLUTELY worthless! I knew this guy was going to be an obstacle when I went for my stress test. He started by asking if I could come back the following day because I have too much hair on my chest. I told him I had come from Mira Mesa and it was a hassle. I said if I had known I would have shaved my chest before I came in. I suggested I go to the store. He suggested the Dollar Store. But before I left they found a razor. It must have come from the Dollar Store because it took the assistant a good half hour to get me prepped. Next time pay a little more for a razor that works! Then came a major problem with the assistant getting the wires attached. Then it turned out he'd hooked them up wrong so they had to be redone. EVERYTHING was like nobody there had done any of it before. It was like a Cub Scout trying to earn a merit badge. Finally I got through the stress test. Now they wanted an ultrasound of my heart taken at the hospital. But with covid-19 they didn't know if I could get in. They'd check and get back to me. A week later I got a call from Humana telling me I'd been approved. That was followed by 2 weeks of trying to get a hold of of Nanavati',s office to get it done.. They never returned my calls so I finally went down there and caught the receptionist. She called the doctor and I had to make another trip the next week to get the form. Once I got the form I took it to the hospital. But it turned out the form had been written wrong. So next came a week of the hospital trying to reach the doctor. But they never returned the hospitals calls either. Finally I was given a message that Nanavati was contacting Humana for approval. I told the hospital receptionist that we'd had Humana approval for almost a month at this point. She would call Nanavati again.A week later Nanavatis office had still not returned the hospitals calls. All this time I had been delaying an urgently needed transfer to Oregon. I finally gave up on Nanavati and I am in Oregon waiting to start the process all over again. Hopefully the new doctor isn't completely incompetent like Nanavati. I HIGHLY recommend you seek medical attention from another source before letting this clown take months out of your life. With dialysis and 2 strokes and all the other stuff I did not need this jackass who doesn't want to do his job.
He’s been very good to my Mother and I for the last 5 years or so. I would not change cardiologists because of his dedication to helping us with our heart conditions.
He is very professional, highly-skilled, and keeps up with the latest in cardiology. He is also very caring, extending himself to make sure his patients understand what is doing and why they need to take that procedures he has recommended. I recommend him above any other cardiologist I know of.
Very friendly and Courteous service by the staff. Brilliant doctor with excellent rapport with patient. Very kind and helpful.
The doctor has been my cardiologist since I arrived in Chula Vista. I have been very satisfied with his care over the last 3 years. He is very good at listening to his patients. I don't feel like I'm being rushed while I'm at an office visit. He usually reacts rather quickly when I explain a problem I'm having regarding prescriptions or other medical care issues. In other words, Dr. Nanavati does whatever, is needed when I have a question or problem.
As a Doctor he is okay. He runs late to appointments. At every appointment I have had over the last two years he is always yelling at his staff and putting them down. At each one of my last few appointments he has wanted me to have an EKG done, yet his machine is so old the staff has a very difficult time getting it to work. Today they gave up on it. At my last appointment it took them over twenty minutes to get it to work! Yet he still has not gotten a new machine! I'm finding a new MD!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
