Absolutely the best !!!!

I recently had a bicycle crash and broke my hip in two places and broke my sacrum to go with a fair amount of road rash. I received good care in Los Robles ER. Dr. Supple was the doctor who treated me and who I saw daily for seven days. He is a very nice man and I enjoyed talking to him about some shared interests. As far as a doctor maybe not so great. I will give a few examples. Keep in mind that I was a Firefighter Paramedic for 34 years.1-I did not find out I had cracked my sacrum until I left the hospital and was in a rehab facility2-On his daily checks of me he had an intern with him. He would touch his stethoscope to my chest for two seconds and touched my abdomen with a finger for the same amount of time. This was clearly for show as you can't gather any information in that short of time. He would then say see you tomorrow. We never in seven days talked about my hip or sacrum. Crazy.3-Best (worst) for last. I had a lot of road rash. When I first went into the trauma room, he put a handful of stiches in my elbow which had a large hole. Fair enough. Five days later he comes in and says he want to remove the stitches. The whole elbow area has a nicely formed scab. He pulls out some scissors and literally starts using them to cut and dig through the scab. He didn't like the scissors so they left to get a better pair and continued the carnage. He hands the scissors to the intern who drops them in his coat pocket. They place a regular 4x4 on the wound (which needed a non-stick dressing) and put one wrap of tape that is not intended for skin around it and left. I called the nurses who were mortified about this on several levels. They now had to remove the dressing and in doing so pulled off large portions of the remaining due to it being regular gauze. They redressed and it hurt a bit. Two days later I am getting discharged, and he comes in and I regretfully said you didn't get all the stiches out. They open up the dressing and say sure enough. He turns to the intern and says do you still have those scissors. The intern produces the same scissors out of his coat pocket from two days before that are still covered in blood and they start cutting and digging out the stiches. It was like a horror movie. He comments to me as he is doing this that geez I am making this worse than the original wound! They finish up and my arm is killing me and now I start worrying about infection. They throw a regular gauze pad on my elbow and wrap the same tape that isn't for skin and leave. But not until the intern drops the blood covered scissors back into the same coat pocket! This violated wound dressing 101 and sterile techniques. The nurses come in and redress it properly while in disbelief. Those two digging sessions on my arm to get stiches out that didn't need to come out left me with wounds that still haven't completely healed eight days later. Of course, there were still a few stiches left in my arm. Los Robles doctors have always had bad reputations and this incident did nothing to change perception. I must say that I received great care from all of the nurses and CNAs while there and in the rehab facility. You can't make this stuff up.

Not enough praise for the great care I received. I recently had hernia surgery and I can't say enough good things about this Dr. Supple and the great care I received from him, his office staff, and Los Robles hospital. I did plenty of research before I made my appointment with friends who are patients, plus my own MD recommended Dr. Supple and now I understand why he is so highly regarded in our community. He is a kind, caring doctor who takes time to explain what is involved and what I needed to expect after surgery, and when I called for any reason, his response was always prompt & courteous. I highly recommend Dr. Supple and the outstanding care I received. Btw, I'm a rather large person and was very nervous about the hernia surgery being more difficult but Dr. Supple did an amazing job.

I'm so thankful my regular MD recommended Dr. Brian Supple for my hernia surgery, I can't say enough good things about this amazing, kind doctor.I did my own research plus I knew several people that have been patients and all of them had high praise and now I know why. He is a caring doctor who takes time to explain what is involved, recovery and when I called for any reason, his response was always prompt, courteous, and explains everything. He is a caring doctor, with a wonderful sense of humor and I have nothing but praise for the outstanding care I received at his office and at Los Robles hospital. I highly recommend Dr. Brian Supple.

A little nervous never had surgery before at 67. Very patient with explanation as to what would happen. All went as he said. Up in recovery quickly. He came by and explained how I would feel the next day or two as well as how to treat. Normal to need some pain med for a day or two, but switch to OTC stuff when I was able. If he's your Dr. you're really lucky.

dr. supple is personable, skilled, experienced, and dependable. he diagnosed and surgically solved my pilonidal cyst problem and subsequently gave me my life back. he cares and is a highly gifted surgeon. i rate him a 10 out of 10.

Everything went well, all my expectations were exceeded!

I met Doctor Brian Supple at the emergency room at Los Robles Hospital. He quickly diagnosed with needing My gallbladder removed, having pancreatitis, and likely having a blocked bile duct. Dr. Supple has a calm confidence about himself that we all need in a surgeon. Do not mistake his confidence in his abilities as him be arrogant. He explained to me the time frame of my surgery and what to expect. I had to wait a few days for surgery because of my high pancreas numbers. Dr. Supple checked on me during my stay and relayed to me that I was ready for surgery. Dr. Supple completed my surgery and made sure to call my wife afterwards. It has only been a few days since my surgery but I am extremely thankful for Dr. Supple.

Dr.Supple was a Heroe to my daughter when brought into the ER. My daughter had gone to Westlake Urgent care who ended up sending her home with Pepcid for Esophagus reflux. They had taken blood but couldn't do anymore for her. I was driving so when she got back in the car and told me her experience I took her straight to Los Robles ER. I new I had to drop her off and I waited outside in the patio area. She texted me everything that was happening. Last thing was they were admitting her and she was having surgery for a very infected gall bladder. I was there the next morning. I was going to wait outside till I heard something. I asked for the surgeon, Dr.Supple to call me after her surgery. I was lucky and found out that 1 related person to the patient having surgery was allowed in the sugery waiting area. Everyone was so kind. I did get the call from the doctor. Granted I new how bad her infection was but hearing it from the doctor always hits home. He answered my questions and was polite and from what each nurse said. Is an absolute great surgeon. I was fortunate to get to meet him. He is an absolute blessing. He is my heroe. Saving my daughters life. If you need surgery? He is your man. Rest assure.. My daughter said he was the best. He made her feel comfortable and secure. Thank you Dr. SUPPLE.
