Cocky Doctor Went for a office visit. He said I had bladder cancer and it needed to be removed. I never got a CT scan before surgery. I was in surgery less than 20 minutes. My wife saw the doctor walk by and didn't even talk to her (he wanted to go to his office). The next time I saw him, he said everything was good. A month later he noticed another cancer (that he missed). After another quick surgery and an office visit,where he tells you to hold all question till the end, he said I was cancer free but wanted to take everything out. I'm glad I got a second opinion. The new doctor found a cancer cell on the top of my bladder. He said that happens when the doctor cuts it and doesn't remove it from the bladder. I was in surgery for over an hour. the doctor talked to my wife after surgery. He found cancer on my prostate, another cancer in my bladder and the one that was on the top of my bladder (that Freedman missed). All Freedman cares about is money. not patients. I am now cancer free with bladder.

Lord have mercy!!! I don't know why this man is still working!!! He is not well. His advice to me was devastating ! And had I listened i would loose a perfectly good healthy kidney. The only good thing he did was to refer me to dr Holaves. He can not do surgical procedures anymore. Please doctor go home and close your doors!!!!

This Dr has 0 bedside manner. He has been my dads Dr for a short time and now my dad finally has gotten a referral to go to another Dr. Dr F is so extremely rude and acts like he's going out of his way to help you. He has 0 patience for people who are hard of hearing. When my dad first started seeing him i referred Dr F to someone else who went one time snd asked me why I would send him to such an A Hole. I have heard his office staff is nice snd helpful, if that helps, but he is a condescending grouch. I think he needs to retire. Sounds like he's overdue!!!

I was in the waiting room for 1.5 hours and had a 15 minute consultation. Afterwords, he canceled my surgery on last minute notice. I'll move on to a different doctor because Time is valuable - I don't believe they realize this factor.

patient beware, he is urologist and surgeon Doctor, and his recommendation is always toward unnecessary surgery that may cost you life living with pain the rest of your life, do not accept surgery unless you get a second opinion or even better find another surgeon to do it, I had 2 operation with him and I regret every minute of it, I had prostate cancer which was local to prostate and I believe 2 operations released cancer cell in blood stream and now it is in my bone! the pain and burning is always there!!

He does not seem to care about the patient and has an awful bedside manner. Why would he choose to practice medicine if he has no compaction for other human beings? I also believe that he overcharges the patients and the insurance and I have routinely been billed in addition to the copay even for a simple check up! I just had a first visit with another Urologist and what a difference! He actually spent time and examined and asked several questions and entered into the computer as opposed to dr freedman who at some of my visits just looked in from the hallway and didn’t quite enter the exam room!

I have been a patient of Dr. Freedman for approximately 20 years. I've found him to be very informative. He gives a diagnosis, explains why and offers procedures that will help the diagnosis along with his professional opinion about what may or may not be best in my situation. I have the highest regard for him and his professional expertise.

I have been a patient of Dr. Freedman for 10 years. He is a professional and knowledgeable Urologist not prone to over react or make recommends prematurely. His personal manner is open, thoughtful and serious. As his patient I trust his diagnosis and course of treatment and can highly recommend him to others.

Dr Alan Freedman is by far the industry best Urologist you can find. After dealing with painful kidney stones for several months (no thank you to Healthcare Partners) I switched medical groups to Hoag. I will never go back! Dr Freedman is a Physician...Not a communications expert to all the complainers on Yelp. He removed a frickin stone that had grown to nearly 9mm! His support staff are amazing at authorizing the necessary scheduling for any surgery needed in a timely manner and are always friendly and flexible!
