Ali Moattari,Md's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Moattari is wonderful, competent AND listens to my body and symptoms and not just the numbers. He is thorough and doesn't rush the appointment. His demeanor is down to business. He is not warm and fuzzy, and I am fine with that. I would recommend him to my friends.

Good doctor, rude receptionist which is always a big thing considering this is the person you see at the start of your appointment.

I haven't been his patient for over 6 years now, but he was so bad and bothered me so much that I still feel the need to share this. I am a Type 1 diabetic patient, and was his patient from when I was 16 years old to 23. He was always rude and impatient with me. He always made me hate myself because of the high A1C caused by my diabetes. His judgmental attitude worsened my state whenever I left his office. Moreover, his secretary was also very rude and was never available to schedule appointments. However, after leaving his office and finding a new doctor, my A1C went down from range of 8.1 to 5.8 n less than 1 year and it has been consistently good ever since. My new doctor's been patient, caring, and understanding, and he motivates me to get better every time I visit him. He opened my eyes to the fact that my life and health are precious and has been helping me to enhance quality of my life and feel better about myself, in contrast to Doctor Moattari, who always made me feel terrible after each visit.

Very knowledgeable and caring. His office staff are not respectful though.

The woman who answers the phone in his Newport Beach location is very rude. No customer service or people skills. I called to make an appointment and she sounded annoyed and practically hung up on me. No "how can I help you", "thanks" "have a good day" nothing... all I heard was "mmmhh", "ok", "nope"...

Unprofessional, liar, disrespectful to patients

In my opinion, this doctor hates his life and his attitude is unprofessional. That is the only explanation I can come up with in trying to understand his treatment of my dear family member. He treated an elder family member of mine with disrespect, not once, but on multiple occasions. Mind you, my family member is beloved by all his doctors, as he is religious about sending his doctors Christmas cards and drowning them in gifts. I have never wrote bad review for anyone, but congrats doctor Moattari, you earned it.

Doctor great...office staff not so great...that's important to me.

He is the best doctor I have ever had. He takes your condition and health so serious and does everythibg to improve it. I wish all doctors were like him so caring, professional and knowledgeable. I've been with this doctor for few years and I 'm so satisfied.

I have visited Dr. Moattari one time and i have to say my experience was exceptional. He was extremely thorough in his evaluation of me before recommending next steps for diagnosing why my blood sugar had all of a sudden become higher. When my blood test results were in, Dr. Moattari personally called me to go thru them and made sure i had a thorough understanding of the results as well as a plan going forward. I appreciate the experience and would highly recommend him!
