Early January 2019, I did some research to ascertain who I felt would be the best Neurosurgeon to treat four meningiomas on my brain. I had a very pleasant visit with Dr. Duma where he assured me not to worry and these tumors would be treated with Gamma Knife Surgery. Dr. Duma relieved the stress and worry I was undergoing. He explained how Gamma Knife worked and subsequent MRI results confirmed everything he told me. Two of these tumors have just about disappeared. I have no doubt when I have my next MRI follow up this October all four tumors will be gone as a result of the Gamma Knife procedure. Recently another family member had experienced a brain hemorrhage and was admitted to Hoag Hospital Newport Beach. I immediately contacted Dr Duma. That family member and I have since met with Dr Duma. Dr. Duma is now involved in her care. Another blessing. Dr Duma not only leaves you with confidence on the success of your treatment as the results of the treatment confirm it. He is the most professional, caring, compassionate person. I trust him 100%. He will spend whatever amount of time it takes to make sure his patients understand their health condition and are comfortable with the upcoming treatment provided to resolve the issue. Dr. Duma’s knowledge as a Neurosurgeon surpasses many of those in the field. I would never hesitate to recommend a family member or friend to Dr. Duma. I also thank Amber, his receptionist who is always so kind and the staff at the Hoag Imaging Center who work very closely with Dr. Duma. You couldn’t ask or wish for a better team to oversee your treatment.
