I wanted to write this long overdue review on Dr. Tan from City of Hope Newport Beach. My father, Karel, ended up getting diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer about two years ago and ended up in Dr. Tan’s care. He had a 17 cm mass in his colon which also hit his bladder causing a fistula. I was in terrible shape. Dr. Tan went out on a limb giving us her cell phone number. She was always available. He almost died from sepsis, but she made sure he got to the emergency room in the nick of time. She set him up with the most amazing surgeons! She watched over every aspect of his journey, never missing a step. We are beyond grateful for her knowledge and expertise! She literally saved his life! I also want to shout out the amazing team of nurses at Newport Beach City of Hope! They all went above and beyond!
