Daniel Ng's Online Review Report Card

I wish I could score higher but this is objective. Dr. Ng told me I would need surgery. After a year of going back and forth to him I told him I'm ready to go ahead. Then he said, I don't think surgery will help? He asked me to prove the diagnosis? It was his diagnosis. I gathered all the CT reports for the last few years and took them to his office. I never heard a thing from him. My PCP is sending me to a different doctor. As far as the staff, it's hit or miss. The girls out front are indifferent. I waited almost 2 hours once. I mentioned it to the agitated girl who took me back. She burst into a rage and said do you want me to reschedule you. It was an obvious threat to cancel me. Dr. Ng did not care. I wish Hoag would start sending out surveys on these "partnered" doctors and their staff.

I will never return to this doctor! He left me waiting over an hour and, as I was leaving without being seen, he showed his arrogance. He didn’t listen to the answers I was giving him, asking the same questions over and over, was condescending and dismissive. I will find someone else to review my issues with!

Terrible doctor. I been here several times for my hemorrhoid, but he always says my hemorrhoid don't really effective it was anal fissure. Jesus! I was so painful and can't even move, he just cancel my appointment and give me some bad medication.

Dr. Daniel NG is a fantastic Dr. He has been our family colon/rectal Dr for many years. He operated on my mother when she was 88. She had 18" of intestine that was bad and had to be removed. Dr Ng got her all back together and at 98 she is still doing great. He has done my colonoscopy several times and is very thorough. I would highly recommend this Dr.

I’m a retired Newport Beach specialty physician and only referred my patients to the best physicians and surgeons. I personally go to Dr. Ng. I trust his advice and skills 100%. He is very thoughtful when making his decisions. He only recommends invasive procedures when absolutely necessary. He has actually dissuaded me from undergoing a surgery even though I pushed him. He opted for a minimally invasive treatment that did the trick. When selecting a physician or surgeon, the best source of information is your referring physician, not Google. It is your health, not a meal.

If you are in need of Colon/Rectal surgery for cancer or other disorder if I could give Dr. NG Ten Stars that would not be enough. He is a true professional, will take time to explain all aspects of your diagnosis and treatment and most important has a great record of success which he humbly attributes to his great team at Hoag Hospital. He has always been caring and compassionate with me as a patient and will take as much time as it takes to explain what is going on with every appointment. I am truly grateful that after consulting with several surgeons, I was able to choose Dr. Daniel NG, as my surgeon, I truly believe he has saved my life.
