I have been seeing this doctor for years, but not anymore! Wouldn’t refill a prescription that I have been taking for over 20 years during the pandemic. Even thought I had gotten all blood test, which were normal. They finally agree to a telemedicine call and then proceeded to charge me the same price as a in person call. Finally got my prescription which was supposed to be for a year and it turns out it was only 3 months so I would have to do another telemedicine call. When I asked his staff if they could ask him if about why the prescription was only 3 months and not a year they basically said no and you can go somewhere else if you don’t like it.... Truly unbelievable.
Worst front office staff I have ever dealt with. They are rude and could care less about the patient's well being. The Vietnamese woman is the worst with the worst attitude. I should have read the reviews here before going to see him. There are plenty of other Endocrinologists so don't waste your time here due to his lousy staff.
I have never been treated with such disregard as a patient. I have seen Dr Do for years and I tried to reschedule an appointment last month due to the COVID pandemic and my family's health. He refused and has terminated our patient/physician relationship via EMAIL. It is so sad that he refused to call me or return emails or reschedule my appointment that was scheduled just one month ago. He doesn't care what's happening in my personal life, it's clearly just about the money for him. I guess I'm in the market for a new endocrinologist. I do not recommend this physician.
The worse staff, The worse experience I ever had. No customer service, no people skills, no patient care. I would not recommend anyone to come in. Dr. Do himself is a good doctor, but his staff and manager are out of control. They will hung up on you, they will charge you extra for using credit card, they will put you on hold multiple times, but will never wait if you ask them to wait few minutes. You can never get a hold of a doctor if you have questions for him. You are treated there like you are in a communist Vietnam.
DO NOT recommend!!!!!
THEY ARE RACIST. These people are actually so rude and dumb. All of them from the front desk to the doctor himself. He has no idea what he is talking about, he doesn't call you with your results you have to call them and they are all extremely rude and not friendly at all. I highly recommend NOT coming here ever.
Love this doctor. He is thorough and explains everything to you. He is not rushed. He found things multiple other doctors missed. And his office is next door to Quest Diagnostics so you can walk out his door and into Quest for lan work. Very convenient. It feels so good to finally talk to a doctor who knows what he is doing.
Knowledgeable drbut that is it.
He is always late, more focused on his children than me.
Staff is rude.
They have forgotten to call in meds, take the calls of my insurance company. More than once, I have had to go to that office in person to get correct signatures or authorizations.
After 10 years having him as my dr, he sent me a letter stating that I was no longer welcome in his practice due to my rudeness of this staff. Me rude to Ilene? Unbelievable.
I love Dr Do he is so practical, just ignore the hag at the front Prior to seeing Dr. Do I was hospitalized quite often for Addison's disease. I have been under Dr. Do for two years and not one hospitalization. Feels great.
As I'm sitting in his office I asked to talk to him about how his front office has treated me and how they accidentally left me a voicemail for some else to come to my appointment time and then called me to asked me to come in at an early time before seeing if I could actually come at that earlier time. That's on top of already having problems with their billing. When I tried talking to him he said he didn't have time and didn't care. But he does have time to talk to you about his kids but again no time for the problems within his office. I'm hurt and very disappointed in his behavior and how he's treated me as his patient. It's clearly just a job for him and he doesn't care about his patients.
I am a former patient of Dr. Do's. Honestly, he is the finest endocrinologist I have ever worked with. He spends plenty of time, is very educated, and takes the time to teach you as well. He is friendly and funny, and I have really loved working with him. I wish I could give his practice 5 stars, but I just cannot. His office staff are a nightmare. It is extremely difficult to accomplish anything by telephone.
Dr Do is simply the best endocrinologist in Orange County. He spends a lot of time with each patient. He gets his computer out to assist with patient teaching and writes notes out for me to take home. I'm feeling better since I started going to him for my thyroid issues. Love going to my appointments. He's a really nice guy, too.
Irene called me this morning, 1 hour before my appointment, after a text and voice message confirming my appointment, to cancel. They said it was because I missed multiple appointments which isn't true. The office staff repeatedly messed up my prescription causing me to get sick. In general the office is in utter chaos, but the Dr was a nice guy. The only issue with him was the one hour wait to see him. I would recommend finding another endocrinologist. Sad to see that the doctor wouldn't even speak to me about the concerns with his office staff, very frustrating. As you can see here they don't even respond to yelp reviews.
There are no words. They failed to call in prescriptions for thyroid meds and keep canceling appointments at the last minute,And by last minute I mean call at 8 AM to cancel a 9 AM appointment! We doctors do that we should be able to charge them for not giving us 24 hour notice. LOLThe nurse couldn't be ruder or more confused which is unfortunate because I heard the dr was a quality dr.. with that kind of treatment their patients are obviously not their main priority there are plenty of other docs in the area so we will keep looking
It just is not funny the wait is always an hour or more. I have had several endocrinologists over the year and they have been very punctual. After two years and maybe ten office visits I gave up. My new doctor in the same building has been reasonably on time each visit

I needed a major surgery and asked Dr Do to notify my surgeon about my conditions and what meds needed to be administered. Do made notes then handed them to me on the way out. Hello what good is that.
My surgeon's office had to call three times to get the information. Then he billed the insurance for the letter that is really cheap. My other specialists quickly and accurately gave necessary information to my surgeon

I have multiple endocrine issues. He was never interested in the most important one. He likes to talk about thyroid issues and osteoporosis but not other issues.

Maybe the last straw was when I waited over an hour just before lunch and he spent less than five minutes and walked out while I had a question

On other note many complain about the front desk receptionist. Yes she seems stern and very to the point. But she is dealing with patients waiting over an hour in a very small waiting room shared wiht another doctor
My wife went to see Dr Do today. HIs staff did a great job in setting up the appointment and getting the paperwork done ahead of time. They had an opening for an earlier appointment and called ASAP. Dr. Do is extremely knowledgeable, has an excellent bedside manner, and was very reassuring. He took time to explain her situation and discussed options available. He also laid out a plan to follow up in a few months to monitor the situation. We think he is wonderful and would highly recommend him.
So I guess this dr doesn't understand that if it's going to his appointment or losing ur job he doesn't care he just called my house to cancel me yes I had to call and reschedule 3 times. But my family is first. So if u want to be petty and cancel me then that's ur right petty. Petty petty. !!!!!
I have been a patient of Dr. Do's for over 10 years, and I will NEVER go to him again. Not only have I had to wait a minimum of 45 minutes every single time I have gone. But he charges $85.00 for FOLLOW UP phone calls (that his front desk makes!), and then still wants you to come in 2 months later!?!? He has always been so concerned with me getting pregnant, even though I keep telling him I do not want to have kids. He is so "busy" that he forgets to approve and/or call in prescriptions (my whole period cycle got screwed over because he didn't call my BC in on time [with about 7 days notice to him that the scrip was expiring]). I told Dr. Do that the medicine he put me on made me feel angry and bitchy, and he said, "well maybe that's just who you are". WHAT!?!? Then I told him I felt better not being on Levothyroxine, and we looked at some other options for underactive thyroid. We decided that maybe I should try the one made from bovine thyriods, but when I went to pick up my prescriptions it was the same Levothyroxine I just told him made me feel bad. In January 2018 all of the sudden he said I hadn't paid him since 2009, yet I had been there MULTIPLE TIMES since 2009. I had an appointment scheduled on 2/16/18. I went in, and Arlene told me that the doctor wouldn't see me until I paid $320.00. I told her that I couldn't pay all of that right that second, and she said, "well the doctor won't see you until you pay." I told her that if someone had bothered to call me AND LET ME KNOW that I could have possibly gotten the money before I came in. She said, "well he didn't tell me that until today". To which I replied, "AGAIN, WHY DID NO ONE CALL ME!?!?". She just repeated, that the doctor wouldn't see me until I paid. So I drove to his office to not even be seen. There are many other Endocrinologist options out there so be sure to do some research, and if you have to go to Dr. DO, just hope it's on Arlene's good day (she can be quite rude most times, and like a friggin angel on some!), and if you are the very first appointment, maybe you will only have to wait 30 min.
Excellent doctor!!! But worst front office of any we have encountered in Orange County. Unresponsive, unfriendly, illequipped to deal with normal, everyday requests. Dr. Do earns enough $$ that he can surely hire extra office assistants or install a computer system that is compatible with the needs of a 21st century medical office
Dr. Do has literally changed my life for the better. I have no pituitary due to a brain tumor 25 years ago so my case if complicated. I've been to top endocrinologists from NY to CA and Dr. Do has far surpasses any other. He is modern and current in his approach and willing to spend time with you to explain your options. I feel better than I did when I was 19 years old and that's 30 years ago. My blood metrics are literally textbook perfect! Notwithstanding, his office doesn't take cards but honestly his ability as a physician and the quality of care far outweigh any of that stuff. I am willing to deal with Ilene and paying cash for copays over going to a physician who is mediocre in patient care. I am a patient of his since 2015.
Dr. Duc Do is an excellent doctor. I have been seeing him for at least five years. He takes time with each visit; asks about how you are feeling and makes suggestions. He's offered me takeaways, so I can read them at home. He is very knowledgeable about man different issues and follows your progress through the years.

Hat's off to Dr. Do!
