Dr. Uchio provided Informa and options to treat my husband’s very aggressive prostate cancer. The first urologist my husband saw, almost was ready to bury my husband given the biopsy report. My first words to my husband after Wendy that urologist was, we need to see someone else. That’s when I looked in uci website and found Dr. Uchio. We are so happy we went to see him. He has given great advice and direction for treatment. We are very thankful for his wealth of knowledge and skill.

I was referred to Dr. Uchio by a former prominent oncologist at City of Hope. Dr. Uchio performed a 12 hour surgery on me that required exceptional skill due to scar tissue and other mitigating circumstances. I have been cancer-free since and owe my life to the good doctor.

Dr Uchio is thorough, thoughtful and caring. He performed or prescribed every possible test or procedure to insure we had all of the information we needed to to make the right decision. Follow up care has been the best. I would go to no one else.

I was advised by my urologist that due to bladder cancer he needed to remove my bladder. I sought a second opinion in Dr Uchio. He provided a different treatment and 5 years later I still have my bladder cancer free. A highly skilled physician.

Dr. Uchio did my prostate biopsy. The procedure was painless, but very uncomfortable. He explained the procedure as he did it and had a good bedside manner. My only complaint was with scheduling. It took me over 6 weeks to get my 1st appointment with him. Then another 2 weeks to schedule the biopsy. I have a very aggressive cancer....waiting long periods of time for appointments does not work towards a good outcome.
