List of Erica Kuhn's Reviews
Thorough, kind, and relatable I have been a patient of Dr. Kuhn for over 10 years. She is a patient and thorough doctor while explaining lab results and diagnosis of illnesses. She makes you feel at ease and readily offers her time even when on call. Jessica, the office manager, is kind and answers all calls with little wait time. Referrals are submitted immediately and followed up by the office. I feel so fortunate to have found this office staff to handle all my needs.
Best Primary Care Doctor I have had many different primary care doctors over the years. She is by far the best. She is kind, patient and thorough. Extremely helpful and caring.
I love Dr. Kuhn and her staff. They are kind, professional, respectful, helpful, and knowledgeable. I can't say enough Nice things about them. I trust Dr. Kuhn whole-heartedly and highly recommend her and her staff.
Worst doctor ever! I’m not going into it because I don’t have the time to explain it but my husband said the same thing about her in one visit. She acts like she’s the only doctor in town. And is there for the status and money. Please do your do-diligence and don’t go to her. It’s not only her it’s her receptionist and the whole staff.
Dr. Kuhn is amazing - one of the best primary care physicians I've had. She takes time with her patients. I've had several appointments in which I have had to bring both of my small children in with me and she doesn't mind at all. I've never had a doctor spend so much time with me and have such genuine, real concern. The lower ratings on here are NOT for Dr. Kuhn, from what I can tell - they are for the office staff. I have not had any problems with her office staff.
Office staff rude and unprofessional . The nurse practitioner was the star of the practice , when she left, the practice deteriorated. Dr Kuhn unavailable most time and no one covering !mis diagnosed as a urinary infection which in fact was a kidney stone .. painful mistake , which delayed care. If u r basically healthy and just need a brief uncomplicated check up .she' s the one for you .. one word to describe her practice . Uncaring and indifferent !
If I could give negative (-) 5 star rating for this coddled DO from her father's money, I certainly would, as this is what she deserves after her treatment of me and refusal of ordering a much needed mammogram for what I later learned of having very dense breast tissue and a high risk for breast cancer. I will start by telling whomever reads this review, and is considering seeing her for a check up or any kind of medical issue, she is not worth your time or waste of insurance benefits paid to her for what should be considered malpractice misconduct. First, I had to wait over 6 weeks to see her for an appt for having HMO insurance I just switched over to that year with not having any serious medical issues, and less expensive than PPO to fit our family budget. On the day of the appt, Ms. Erica Kuhn was wearing a cheap low cut yellow tank top under her white medical coat, and looked "spent" after her return from Long Beach where she teaches, and should be concerning for any of her students. Before even addressing the medical reason I was there (annual mammogram and blood tests to check blood sugar levels) Ms. Kuhn began asking me if I have ever rolled up a dollar bill and put it to my nose, as if indicating I did cocaine or other drugs of the sort. I told her absolutely not, and was offended by her question that I couldn't understand the nature of, and how or why she could ask something so entirely inappropriate for no reason or premise, and me being a professional businesswoman living in Newport Beach. She then went on to coerce an answer, asking "have you EVER in your life done this, even over 20 years ago??" I told her no again, and was very happy my husband that is a CPA was in the room to witness this absurdity and entirely inappropriate line of questioning before doing her job, and the reason I was there. I should have walked out then, however as I mentioned, it took me over 6 weeks to see this doctor as a new patient waiting for an appt, per her policy for new patients with HMO. Her exam was very uncomfortable and very cursory. She was very hasty and rude, also was refusing to order a much needed, as it turns out later, an annual mammogram that I have had to have painful MRI biopsies done on both breasts at Hoag Hospital with an Oncologist. This is all I have to say, as this is very sad to treat a new patient she doesn't know, and a professional business woman with a CPA husband in the room with me, thankfully, to witness her conduct and cheap spent appearance. BEWARE is all I can say, and for her now to have the audacity and over confidence to impose a $3000 concierge fee is simply outrageous! She should be counseled by the medical review board for her conduct with new trusting and unsuspecting patients. I'm hoping she hasn't done this to anyone else, however, it appears she has based on the few people that have the time and courage to come forward and say what happened to them. I don't normally write reviews, or participate in social media. In this case, I had to make a post about what happened, and this Yelp account is new for that specific reason. Also, why there aren't friends or any followings by me or others. My personal friends outside of the internet social media world are what's most important, and who mean the most to me. Thank you
I would NEVER refer this so called doctor to ANYONE! First, I had to wait 6 wks to see her as a new patient having insurance. I grew up in Germany with US Armed Forces, thinking it might be a good fit, as she speaks German. She was dressed scantily in a low cut yellow tank top under her white unbuttoned medical coat, looked spent being in Long Beach where she teaches. She then interrogated me for an issue I wasn’t there for, asking me if I ever rolled up a dollar bill snorting over 20 yrs ago.
Our family has been seeing Dr. Kuhn for a few years now. I can say without hesitation that she is a genius. She is the finest Internist we've ever known. Her curious mind drives her to learn all she can about her patient's conditions and the best treatment options. As long as Dr. Kuhn is practicing medicine-we will be her eternally grateful and very lucky patients. I will also mention that her front office team-especially Jessica-are professional and care so deeply about their clients.
Dr. Kuhn is the kindest, most thoughtful and considerate doctor I have ever had. I have been under her care since she took over for my former doctor several years ago. She listens well and takes her time when we meet. I am sad that she is switching over to concierge service...while I see value in that approach, it is too expensive for me.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
