Gary S. Reiter's Online Review Report Card

I have been seeing Dr Reiter for decades, and he has been very effective in his examinations and office workings. He has helped me prevent certain eye issues, has done surgeries on me for a couple of things, and I trust him implicitly.

Best exam, doctor and staff ever! My glasses are perfect! I later wanted a back up pair, When I discussed my needs with Liz, she suggested computer glasses. I wasn't too sure, but she assured me that I would love them and went with her suggestion. So happy I did! She was 100% correct. I do love them! In the future when I need new glasses, I will have both pairs done at once.It is refreshing to work with an office full of professionals!

Horrible customer service, the man at front desk was a complete Incompetent and an ass hole as well, the place was old looking and dirty and stains on floors, front desk was a complete mess with papers everywhere. Just an overall bad and disgusting experience.

I have been a patient of Dr. Reiter for over 20 years. He has a great practice. Karen really gets things done. Liz knows how to help choose the right glasses and fit them to your face. They are all thorough, professional and friendly. My cousin was visiting from out of the country a few years ago and had an emergency eye situation. I needed cataract surgery and when Dr.Reiter suggested Pan Optix lenses vs. the standard ones for my condition, I was hesitant to say the least. After two sessions of questions and concerns I decided to trust in Dr.Reiter's knowledge and years of expertise/passion in executing this surgery with the latest technologies. I am so happy that I did! For the first time in 30 years my vision is 20/25! I do not need glasses for distance or reading and I am enjoying freedom and eyesight quality I never thought possible at my age. Thank you Dr.Reiter, Karen, Chuck and Liz for providing excellent treatment, technology, and support in this journey.

Visited Dr. Reiter for my annual eye exam. COVID-19 times and this office feels safe because the staff takes all the precautions making me feel protected and safe. Karen processed all of my paperwork quickly. Chuck could not have been nicer and more efficient. Doctor was on time and thorough. Liz showed me frame after frame; I purchased a pair of very sporty sunglasses with great coverage for walking and hiking as well as some stylish DUTZ frames from The Netherlands. I cannot wait to pick them up. Love this office.

To prepare for the dreaded eye exam at the DMV later this spring, I decided to update my reading glasses so I used my VSP plan to have my eyes examined. I always prefer an ophthalmalogist and Dr. Gary S. Reiter and his staff, Karen and Chuck, were extraordinary from the time I made my appointment by phone to my arrival and departure from their office. They let me try on diffraction frames at a leisurely pace and I was able to take selfies as a reference to what I want to consider when I return to order my frames. I hope to meet Liz, the optometrist, who was out the day I was there for my appointment. They have the latest equipment and I felt very comforted and cared for at their office which is clean, serene and part of a small mid-century design office complex in Newport Beach. Thank you for making my eye appointment in 2020, the year of clear vision, such a peaceful time. Now, I'm off to practice the written sample DMV tests online.

Gary Reiter’s care and professional opinions are the very best. He is exceptional and among the top in his field.

If one is into assembly line medical care, where you see the doctor after you have been examined by many others, and then the doctor appears and is obviously rushing off to see other waiting patients, then Dr. Gary Reiter is definitely not for you. However, if you want old fashioned, hands on "Dr. Kildare" style care, then Dr. Righter is your only choice.Dr. Reiter is mightily experienced, and performs all major tests himself, and then takes all the time necessary to explain your case in detail and answers every possible question. Over many years I was occasionally exposed to the former type of medicine, and now know I could never see anyone other than Dr. Reiter. I am now completely spoiled by his kindness and competence and that of his staff. There is nothing like the highly personal touch to feel safe and at ease.
