Thanks to DR Mir he has changed my life for the better . Thank you to all his wonderful and helpful staff . My life is truly remarkable do to the fusion surgery .

Dr Hamid Mir is a very smart spine surgeon. His skills during surgery is beyond excellent. He performed a cervical fusion and disk replacement 7/2022. Results are excellent. He performed a laminectomy on my lumbar spine 3/2/2023. Surgery was 45 minutes to 1 hour. The incision is vertical 3 in at center lower back. Checked in the hospital at 9:00am, went home same day at 6:00pm. Hospital nurse called day after to check up on me. Hank called 4 days after surgery. I told him feeling good. I stopped taking pain pills on the 3rd day after surgery. Still painful, but, not to the point of needing pain meds or aspirin. At the 2 week follow up, I feel 70% better. This is before any physical therapy. The muscles at lower back, right thigh, right calf need lots of therapy to relieve tightness, inflammation and build strength. Affected areas feel weak and tight at the same time. Dr Mir said that's normal after surgery. Before surgery the pain was excruciating at lower back, right thigh, right knee, right achilles tendon, right ankle. I couldn't stand, sit, walk sleep without feeling excruciating pain. Do not hesitate and don't be afraid of a cervical spine fusion / disk replace or a laminectomy surgery with Dr Hamid Mir. He is the best.

It was a great experience from start to finish. His staff was responsive and he was very reassuring that the fusion surgery would be successful. Once I woke up from the anesthesia, I could feel an immediate difference. The pain I had been experiencing had vanished and I just waited for the recovery process to end before I could lead my normal life. I was very nervous going in, but so glad I did it. Thank you to Dr. Mir and his staff!

So grateful for Dr Mir and his team. I'm a nurse that was injured at work in 2020. Dr Mir looked at my MRI and knew just what to do. I had an anterior L5-S1 decompression with posterior instrumentation Nov 2022. My right sided sciatic nerve pain is 90% better. Can't wait to feel further improvement in the next few months. I'm so glad I chose him.

Hello I'm Cameron and I had neck and lower back problems and issues for years I guess I will always have them for the rest of my life I saw 20 or so doctors before I met Dr Mir he told me to trust him follow directions and I'll get you back were you can live life will I ever be normal no but to be where I'm even at today I'm so grateful I wish I would have found him 15 years ago I wouldn't be where I'm at today I feel so much better and doing some things again I couldn't do 10 years ago so thank you for being so wonderful and being my doctor

After suffering 2 years with back pain, I had the MRI my general practitioner had been telling me to get. My pain was to the point I could not stand for more than a few minutes, and walking was unbearable. I was referred to Dr. Mir, he reviewed my scan and explained to me what I was looking at on the scan. I had a couple of herniated disk pressing on nerves, that was causing my foot to go numb. He explained he could operate, but looking at the MRI he could not determine the extant of the damage until he got inside. I asked for options! He explained Physical Therapy, or I could try an Epidural that it h had shown some success. PT was out since I was having a hard time walking, I opted for the Epidural. Dr. Mir referred me to a doctor, but there was no change. Again, I met with Dr. Mir, we spoke about the operation, I was very scared, he assured me that it would be OK, but that there would be physical therapy I would need following the operation, that it is as important as the operation.I had the operation in mid August, he explained to my husband that the operation took longer than he expected, there was more damage than he could see in the MRI. I spent one night at the Hoag Orthopedic Institute, the following day a physical therapist arrived and explained what I needed to do before I could be released, I was sent home later that day. I met with Dr. Mir two weeks later he arranged for me to go to outside physical therpy. I have been going to PT since late August and I'm so happy to be walking, standing, and riding my bike. A big thank you to Dr. Mir and his staff, and the staff at Hoag. I don't think anyone has ever been as scared as I was to have the operation, but I'm so grateful I had Dr. Mir as my physician. Dr. Mir and his staff are great and friendly. There's no rush to get you out of the office. Dr Mir and his Physician Assistant makes sure all of your questions and concerns are answered. Nov 9, 2022 was when I had my surgery and was scheduled to come in at 530am. Dr. Mir did the laminectomy on my l4-l5 and I was discharged from the surgery center at 230p. The staff at the surgery center is also great. They really make you feel comfortable about your situation. It has been almost two weeks since surgery and I feel great! All the pain, numbness, and tingling in my back, buttocks, legs, feet, and toes are gone and I can stand up straight! I'm excited to get my life back! If you are contemplating on getting the procedure done, just do it. You'll be glad you did. Almost forgot to mention, the facilities are very clean and updated, which is the cherry on top. I was very nervous about surgery on my neck and Dr. Mir spent time with me review surgery, what to expect and recovery. I felt better the moment I woke up from surgery and am currently in rehab. Dr. Mir's team and office staff have been very helpful and informative. Glad I had the surgery and happy Dr. Mir is my doctor!

Dr Hamid Mir is smart. That’s my first impression when I met him for consultation. I knew I was in good hands with him operating on my neck. I was rear ended several times 15 years ago while working for a major company. Two very severe accidents, one moderate. I’ve been in excruciating pain ever since. Finally got approved for this surgery to remove bone spurs, replace collapsed discs with cadaver discs, and fusion of C5, C6, C7. Dr Mir went in through the front of my throat to do the whole operation. It took about 2.0 hours. I had minor pain that afternoon and evening. The next day I hardly felt any pain. That evening I went home. I didn’t feel any pain, didn’t have to take any prescribed pain pills or aspirin. None whatsoeve Dr Mir is the best surgeon I ever had. This is my 5th surgery. Previous are shoulder, elbows, wrist done by various specialist surgeons. I asked Dr Mir if this is a routine surgery for him. He said yep, and he calmed my nerves with his confide

My quality of life was terrible. I am very active swim, tennis, tri's, biking, hiking... I got to the point where I could not do any of them with out pain. Was nervous about surgery. Consult wit Dr Mir was great. Surgery went very well. 4 years and my back has never been better. Highly recommend.
