Hoag Breast Center's Online Review Report Card

I have been to my fair share of Breast centers in the country. This one is hands down the most efficient, most professional, and most patient-centered that I have encountered. Every step of the process here has the patient in mind. I had to get an urgent appointment scheduled and they were not only able to get me in the same day, but my turnaround time to hear from the doctor was in less than two hours for multiple procedures; comparative to days at other facilities. I highly recommend this center and feel any negative reviews seen here seem generalized for any medical procedure and, are thus, inaccurate.

Admitted for surgery on June 23,2022 a little apprehensive of the procedures. Hoag made every step painless and guided right down to the App called EASE designed to update contacts you chose during the procedure. The 2 people I chose were happy to get updates during surgery. The stay was excellent. The medicalist assigned to me was wonderful. And brought in several other types of Medical teams to diagnose and treat. The staff was outstanding, anticipating most of my needs and never left me feeling rushed or a bother when asked for something. I was in patient a week and it was as pleasant as can be under these circumstances I would work with dietary a little better next time. And bring my own preferred protein shakes. But all in all, at the end of the week. I was health and able to fend for my self.

Horrible horrible horrible experience. Go anywhere else but here. The customer service access mistakes they make everything…. there is no reason to waste your time

I find this center to be warm, welcoming and very efficient! The facility is beautiful and very calming. My only request would be to make it easier to figure out the parking structure gizmo! Ha!

Had mammogram here on 8/26 and the technician was incompetent. First she asked me "do you want 2 or 3D". Never have been asked this before and the doctor selects this on his prescription. Technician never once asked me to hold my breath during the exam and this is standard. The radiologist said "oh, the marker on your right breast looks different". And for this she wanted me to do an ultrasound???? I will not be back to this faciliity..

Rude unprofessional staff, the front desk person was condescending and just went out of their way to be cruel. They need some sensitivity training to deal with people coming in with potentially life threading illnesses who are scared and vulnerable., unless that’s what they get off on. Horrible. Wouldn’t recommend if don’t enjoy being treated like garbage. I will never return here EVER.

I was given my aftercare instructions verbally while medicated and my caregiver was not present so of course that meant a phone call or several to get important info. They are also so concerned about the opioid crisis that patients with real pain are under medicated . Hopefully I wont have a need for surgery in the future but I will not use Hoag Newport Beach ever again .
