Jeffrey Lander's Online Review Report Card

My husband and I were very favorably impressed with Dr. Lander in every way during our visit today. His professional demeanor, interests in our concerns, answers given to our numerous questions were all most satisfying. He effectively removed a basal cell carcinoma from my husband’s forehead from start to finish. We have complete confidence and faith in Dr. Lander, and feel fortunate and blessed that he performed the needed surgery.

If you are unfortunate to need Dr Lander, you are fortunate, indeed. He had to remove a basal cell in my husband’s nose. He’s caring, and proficient in what he does. He’s also concerned about the cosmetic issues. We are confident that we experienced the best care. Joan Angleton

Dr. Lander is that exceedingly rare combination of careful intellectual humility (that must underlie best medical competence) with kind humanity, gentle honesty, and a warm and seemingly completely genuine concern for the welfare of his patients.  He listens to and respects your needs and views while actually seeming interested.  It quickly becomes obvious that you are not just a job or paycheck to him!  While you may or may not be seen promptly at your appointment time, the occasional longer wait is almost certainly a consequence of Dr. Lander's thorough, unhurried, and courteous manner;  Thus, should a patient need extra time, (s)he gets it rather than being "finished up" to pull in the next waiting patient "to beat the clock."  While waiting isn't fun, consider that YOU could be that patient getting the extra time with Dr. Lander!  Staff I have dealt with at Dr. Lander's Sand Canyon office (where I do prefer to see him) are pleasant, careful, and efficient (but never brusque).  If you value trustworthy, sincere competence and caring treatment, you're unlikely to find better than Dr. Lander.

Dr Lander is really a nice guy who takes his time and explains everything, answeres all my questions. Even during a procedure, he kept me informed as to what he was doing. He is a Mohs Suregeon, and I had to have a basal cell removed from my nose, and he did a great job. He also referred me to a Plastic Surgeon in Newport Beach to do the reconstruction, which went well. I highly reccommend him. His staff is very friendly too.

So far I had only very positive experience with Dr Lander. He is different from other dermatologists I have seen in the past (and I have seen quite a few) because he really takes time to talk to you and find out what it is you have, what you experience and later explains what condition it might be and what options you are looking at. He is very and attentive. I would recommend doctor Lander in a heartbeat to anyone who needs a dermatologist.

I got this rash on the corner of my mouth that did not go away after the treatment of two dermatologist.  My ex-bf recommended him to me.  After a few days of applying some bad tasting ointment, it healed up completely.  Dr. Lander is my new hero!  Thanks, Doc!
