I went to Dr. Yoshida because I was worried about the outcome of radical prostatectomy surgery. He shared his own data on outcomes and how many surgeries he has performed. I was 100% functional just one week after my surgery. His follow up has been great for several years. I agree the staff is not as nice as Dr. Yoshida but who cares this guy is the best and most experienced uro oncology surgeon you can find in Southern CA.
Dr. Yoshida is a truly gifted surgeon. His staff is a truly ungifted mess. His staff appears to be totally uninterested in the patient. Its a real shame for the incompetent staff to stain a brilliant surgeon. If you can put up with the staff problems, I recommend Jeff Yoshida absolutely. Be sure to mention his staff to him should you have problems. Maybe he can fix it.
Dr. Yoshida is the best of the best. He saw my elderly mother 5 years ago and recommended the removal of a bladder tumor which was successful and turned out to thankfully be benign. He was patient throughout the process and answered all of our questions. Dr. Yoshida recently saw my younger brother this week for an unrelated medical situation and my brother shared his experience with me which was also very positive. My brother had no idea that this was the same Doctor that treated our mother but I certainly did when I heard his name and will never forget this individual. Dr. Yoshida is truly impressive and I highly recommend him.

As a person in healthcare related field ; Dr. Yoshida is excellent physician and one of top surgeon in orange county. ( Strongly recommend him ) .His office staffs are very professional and helpful. For anyone giving one star without seeing him is ridiculous.Any top doctor has several weeks of advance appointments.
I met with many specialist in my quest to make a decision on how I should deal with my prostate cancer. While meeting with him, my wife and I were able to ask any question and he answered them all. He did not push for surgery and walked me through all of my options. My wife and I left his office with a charity we had yet to achieve. Not only did we decide that surgery was the best option but that Dr. Yoshida would be the one to perform surgery. Surgery was performed one week ago today and the catheter was removed today. I have had no leakage, (I did my kegels), thus far and he was confident that all of the important nerves were preserved. He has done close to 2900 robotic prostatecomy and I would highly recommend him to do yours.
Dr Jeffrey Yoshida has provided excellent cautious care for my urological issues and has enabled me to have a full, exciting, adventurous life.

I would not recommend this urologist. He butchered my prostatectomy (per 3 other surgeons) requiring reconstructive surgery on my urethra. Within a year following his surgery I experienced biochemical recurrence. Now, less than 30 after the radical prostatectomy, my cancer is metastatic. Yoshida chose to not remove any lymph nodes or seminal vessels. I was margin positive following the very unsuccessful surgery and what were his issues post surgery: This took over 5 hours because I spent over an hour on the catheter insert (first clue his competency was stretched) and then you were a bleeder and blah blah blah. I could go on about how he arrived at the hospital 2 hours late for the surgery and how as he was scampering past me as he entered the hospital he complained that he didnt have a team assembled and he needed to locate assistants; or upon follow up in his office as he scoped me and saw what he had cause his comment was Im not going to touch that! Gleason 7 (3/4)

Do not even try to deal with this medical office. The "Support Staff" are rude, incompetent morons. They do not answer the phone, for days. Their phone system is nonfuncionable. You chose a "Menu" option on phone system and most options takes you to "Dead air."<br><br>They do not return phone calls. I spent 48 hours RETURNING THEIR CALL. I finally cancelled appointment and found new Urologist.<br><br>Dr. Yoshida? Not a clue. You can not get past his moronic support staff.<br><br>AVOID THIS OFFICE AT ALL COSTS.
Dr Yoshida was terrific. Not only a great surgeon, but a patient Doctor who walked us through everything patiently and answered all our questions thoroughly. I recommend him highly and am very thankful he was my physician.

Terrible experience. He messed up the surgery requiring more competent surgeons to fix his gross errors. When he later saw what he had done during his surgery his words were “I’m not going to touch that” you’ll need a special surgeon”. Yes, you were right. And ALL THREE AGREED that you were responsible for the “severe violation” of my urethra and I should hold you responsible.
Amazing rudeness and incompetence by office staff but that was overshadowed by the butchery shown by Yoshida. Following his improperly performing a radical prostatectomy I was referred, by him, to a surgeon that could correct his actions. Following the reconstructive surgery (urethroplasty) I now have recurrent prostate cancer, emanating from cancers left in the pelvic region. A terrible experience with this doctor and his staff.
