I came to her through a friend, obviously he did not know about how she works presently. I had what was called an emergency by urgent care people. My insurance did not cover her, out of my network. I came with a cyst behind my ear , scabs on my scalp and something on the back of my upper thigh..She brushed that away as nothing with a hand gesture, removed the cyst and gave me florourcil for my scalp...the bill was $300, though on the phone I had been told $125. The bill for the biopsy is $168, as yet unpaid by me as I cannot afford that at the moment.. most of the skin lesion on the back of the thigh fell off, but what is left is sensitive and I try to keep it covered...she does no follow up at all. I would like this printed....though I have never negatively yelped at a doctor, one is call for in this case....thank you. Celia Sloan 9/27/2022
I have recently started going to Dr Sun because of her ability to specialize in cancer of the skin. I’ve had basal cell and much worse a sebaceous cancer on my eyelid that was misdiagnosed by an Opthomologist. I’m now going to Dr Sun to continually monitor this situation. I’m happy with her kindness and her expertise. My concierge doctor recommended Dr.Sun and I’m thankful to be her patient. The office staff was thoughtful and concerned as they helped me make my appointment.
She is nice and personable but after charging $160 to freeze off my skin tag, only a small part of the tip of it came off and the main mass is still on my body even after she said it would all peel off. I called to see if they can re-do since it wasn't properly done right and they said they would have to charge another $160 to do it when I come in. That just seems fishy and seems to be a money making ploy....

Dr. Sun appears friendly and helpful, however, please be aware that her practice is sub standard and her ethics are self serving $$$ snd not in a patients best interest. She misdiagnosed me snd used skin scrapings( extra charges) to quasi verify that I had scabies..,I was cash pay ..,She also charged my boyfriend for writing him a prescription because I had scabies!!!He was a former patient..I followed up with urgent care when rash continued and a private dermatologist in FlintridgeLa Canada.., never was scabies. Also, I did call her after I took the pills she ordered and applied cream and she then back peddled and stated that she thought she saw dead scabies from the scrapings.Hence , she was expensively wrong snd put me thru tons of anguish…and billed my boyfriend for$ 135 office visit for sitting with me snd saying he should have medication just in case. The worst experience I have ever had…Note.. I am a retired Public Health RN

Dr. Sun is excellent ... a very knowledgeable caring kind and thoughtful physician. I have been a patient for approximately 8 years. I have and will continue to recommend her highly. Over the past 40 years I have been treated by several Dermatologists .... she’s the best

Excellent reception staff and waiting room. The wait times are minimal. Dr Sun is very professional and has a terrific bedside manner. She is thorough in her examination of the body for skin cancer. During biopsy removal she is expert in numbing the area and extraction. Pleasant and beautiful! Highly recommended!
She is amazing, she comes in and starts burning off sun spots on the spot. Other doctors will make you make an additional procedure. She is very thorough. She is very nice and runs on time.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
