List of Kindbody - Newport Beach's Reviews
My experience at Kindbody Newport Beach has been genuinely positive from start to finish. The clinic feels welcoming, organized, and calm, and the front desk team always made check-ins and scheduling simple. The medical assistants were consistently kind, attentive, and reassuring, helping me feel comfortable and informed during every visit. I especially appreciated the sonography team—each ultrasound was handled with so much care and professionalism, and they always took the time to make sure I knew what to expect. The combination of a supportive staff and an easy-to-use digital platform made the entire process smoother and far less stressful than I anticipated. I would absolutely recommend Kindbody Newport Beach to anyone beginning their fertility journey.
I am so incredibly thankful to the Dr. Sundheimer’s team at Kindbody. Thanks to them I have a healthy little blueberry growing right now. 🩷 They were responsive, knowledgeable, kind, and gracefully handled my millions of questions. Special shout out to Natalie and Kiana whose warmth, patience, and humor made every visit so easy.
Dr. Sundheimer and her team were so kind and informative throughout the egg freezing experience. The clinic keeps you up to date via their portal and also have after hours for any questions just in case. The clinic has easy parking. The team overall are welcoming, supportive, and makes sure you are comfortable with what is happening.
The experience I had with Dr. Sundheimer and her team was absolutely phenomenal. I came off 3 failed IUI rounds and felt defeated. They helped me find my confidence and supported me the entire way. IVF is an exhausting process, physically and mentally, and Dr. S and the team were great the entire way. I will forever be grateful for my son. I have achieved the dream I’ve had since I was little with the help of the NB office (and San Diego).
I am writing this review on behalf of my wife. My wife chose this center for an egg freezing procedure based on her company’s benefits program. From the very beginning, it was clear that this was not the right place to undergo such a delicate and critical process. This center values profit far more than patient care. Here are the issues we faced: 1. Minimal doctor involvement – Dr. Lauren only met with us twice for about 15 minutes each. The first time was at the start of the process, when she was supposed to design a plan considering my spouse’s history of migraines and medications. After that, she was essentially unavailable. Even the nurses failed to provide clear answers to critical questions, such as whether or not to continue certain medications. The second brief meeting was after the procedure, where she provided no real explanation for why the egg-freezing rate was far below normal or why the results were so poor. 2. Lack of proper monitoring– Egg freezing requires careful monitoring, usually every one to two days. This center scheduled the cycle in a way that my spouse was only checked three times over ten days, yet we were billed for the full protocol. 3. Premature surgery– Despite knowing that not all eggs had matured, the doctor proceeded with the retrieval. This resulted in a large percentage of eggs being wasted. Why? Because this center prioritizes money over outcomes. In such cases, the proper approach would have been to wait until the eggs reached maturity before scheduling retrieval. However, rescheduling would have cost them money, so they went ahead anyway. 4. Financial misconduct – At the start, the finance team told us we had to choose either company benefits or insurance, not both. We agreed to use benefits. However, it appears they billed both the benefits program and our insurance. Since there’s no phone number and communication is only through chat, it took weeks to get a response. And when they finally replied, their answer was basically: “This is just how the process works.” Yet their own website clearly states what the financial coverage includes—all tests and procedures. We requested an itemized bill multiple times, but never received one. Recommendation: Stay away from this center. They do not care about patients, only about maximizing revenue.
The team at Kindbody is so sweet, communicative, and supportive throughout the entire process. The doctors and nurses really know what they are doing and are happy to answer any questions you have. Their portal is easy to navigate and easily organized. The one issue I had was with their billing department. There were multiple times where they over or double charged us. I asked them to double check each bill and went over all of the contracts carefully (I was able to catch all their errors) so I would highly advise every patient do that. Aside from the billing department, the staff and medical teams are great and overall the experience with kindbody was fantastic.
To respond to your comment: Yas, I am real. If you truly cared, that concern should have been shown during my fertility procedure, not now. You never even bothered to provide an official report about my treatment. What happened? Instead of questioning whether I’m real, why don’t you address which part of my review you believe is inaccurate? As you are detective, you can probably verify my identity through my records and results. Second, I’m still dealing with unresolved billing issues six months later. Frankly, I don’t want to spend another minute chasing this. Third, I chose this center because it was covered by my employer benefits, and Kindbody motto "founded and run by women". I assumed that meant compassion, support, and understanding of what women go through during this process. I was wrong. Fourth, I trusted my employer’s recommendation without doing my own research and I regret that deeply. To anyone reading this: You are not choosing a coffee shop or a restaurant. Being “friendly” or saying “hello” is not enough when it comes to your health and your future. During the only phone consultation I had, Dr. Lurane casually told me that my case was “a typical procedure.” That kind of comment is incredibly dismissive. Are all women’s bodies and journeys the same? Should they all be treated the same? Finally, as a woman, I want to help others avoid the same mistake. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, before choosing a fertility clinic, check the official SART.gov website. Most reputable fertility centers "95% of centers" report their success rates there. This one does not. That alone should raise concern. In my opinion, they don’t publish their results because they’re likely not good. **Extremely Disappointing Experience! My experience with Dr. Lauren and her team was deeply frustrating and emotionally exhausting. From the very beginning, red flags were evident, though I regret not listening to them. The initial consultation lasted barely 15 minutes, during which Dr. Lauren focused almost entirely on selling me a bundled egg freezing package. Instead of taking time to assess my situation, the conversation was more about marketing their “multi-cycle” deals. I should’ve walked away then, but I didn’t and unfortunately, I fell into their trap. During the actual procedure, only 50% of my eggs were retrieved. In the follow-up (again, a rushed 15-minute call), she shifted back into sales mode, trying to convince me to go through another cycle. When I questioned the poor outcome, I was told the other eggs “weren’t mature.” If they weren’t mature, why were they not given a chance in vitro, like competent clinics often do? Even worse, of the retrieved eggs, nearly 60% were lost, leaving me with only 3 frozen eggs out of 19 follicles. That kind of result is completely unacceptable by any standard. A capable embryology team would handle every egg with care, rescue immature eggs when possible, and work to support the patient. That clearly didn’t happen here. To make matters worse, their finance team reached out again after the cycle, trying to upsell me yet another round of treatment. It was disheartening and felt completely transactional, as if I were just a revenue stream, not a patient going through an emotional and medical journey. Dr. Lauren’s practice is structured entirely around their schedule, not yours. Surgeries are only done two days per month, so your cycle has to be manipulated to fit their limited availability. In my case, I was forced into a second surgery day just to match their calendar, not my biological response or ideal timing. That’s not how reproductive medicine should work. Frankly, I don’t understand how this clinic claims awards!
I had a deeply frustrating and disheartening experience at this clinic during my egg freezing process. From the beginning, the doctor was only present during the initial consultation -- after that, I never saw or heard from her again. Any time I had a question, I was passed off to a different nurse, and no one ever seemed to know my case or what stage I was in. I kept hearing, "We'll ask the doctor and get back to you, but in over two months, I never once received a follow-up. Communication was chaotic, unorganized, and careless. The clinic only performs egg retrievals two days per month, and it was obvious they were pushing everyone into those days -- regardless of whether your body was actually ready. This felt completely profit-driven. Real patient care shouldn't be about squeezing people into someone else's calendar -- especially not with something as sensitive as fertility. And then came the worst part: during my retrieval, I had 24 follicles, yet only 4 eggs were frozen, Every fertility expert I spoke to afterward -- without exception -- said this was a major error on the clinic's part. Whether it was poor timing, failed stimulation protocol, or just negligence, the outcome was devastating and could have been avoided. A week after the retrieval, they scheduled a follow-up -- and yet again, the doctor never showed up. I was only given 15 minutes with someone who asked generic checklist-style questions and repeated "drink water" like it was a cure-all. There was no accountability, no plan, no explanation. Dr. Lauren completely disappeared after the first visit -- good luck trying to get a real answer from her after that. To make matters worse, they charged me $7,000 for medications -- even though I didn't get them from the clinic but from my insurance and pharmacy. I'm still in shock about that, and I will be filing a formal complaint. We paid nearly $14,000 for a cycle filled with mismanagement, lack of care, and zero transparency. I chose this clinic because of the glowing reviews online -- but now I seriously doubt their authenticity. My experience was a complete disaster and emotionally traumatic. If you're looking for supportive, responsible, and competent care, this is not the place. Once they take your money, the doctor disappears, the communication breaks down, and you're left feeling confused, unsupported, and in my case, absolutely heartbroken. Please think twice before trusting them with such an important part of your life.
I had a deeply frustrating and disheartening experience at this clinic during my egg freezing process. Every time I had a question or concern, I was passed off to a different nurse, none of whom seemed to know my case or what stage I was in. I kept being told, “We’ll ask the doctor and get back to you,” but in two full months, I never received a single follow-up answer. The communication was chaotic and felt completely disorganized. The clinic only does retrievals two days a month, and it was obvious they were pushing everyone into those narrow windows, regardless of whether your body was ready or not, just to maximize profit. That’s not patient care — that’s exploitation. And what happened during my egg retrieval was beyond unacceptable. Out of 24 follicles, they only managed to freeze 4 eggs. Every specialist I consulted with afterward — all of them — said this was a clear error on the clinic’s part. Whether it was poor timing, protocol failure, or sheer negligence, the result was devastating. To make matters worse, they scheduled a post-retrieval call a week later — and once again, the doctor never even showed up. The explanations I did receive were inconsistent, vague, and honestly made no sense. This is a major life decision for many people, and the way this clinic handled my case felt careless, rushed, and profit-driven. We spent nearly $20,000 for a process that was riddled with mismanagement and zero accountability. I originally chose this clinic based on the positive reviews, but now I question their authenticity, because my experience was a disaster. Please think twice before choosing this place. If you're looking for thoughtful, personalized, and responsible care — this is not it. The doctor disappears after the first visit, and you’re left confused, unsupported, and in my case, heartbroken.
Dr. Sundheimer, Natalie, and their team are amazing! They are so kind, responsive and effective. My husband and I are now pregnant! When we had questions, the providers were always willing to go through every detail we needed to be comfortable. They took their time and made us feel very supported. The pharmacy they used was also very easy to work with and sent meds to the house quickly and conveniently. I am so happy we chose Dr. Sundheimer and the team at newport!
