Doc performed double vertical robotic hernia surgery on my husband. He did an excellent job! It has been almost one year now since surgery. My husband did not have one problem post surgery!!

Working in the medical career myself, I've gotten to know a lot of surgeons. A good chunk of the surgeons I've known are not really what you would call "nice." They tend to be gruff, to-the-point, arrogant, don't-waste-their-time types. So, going into my cholecystectomy, I was expecting to meet a similar type of surgeon, but I got Dr. Hurwitz instead! He. Was. Fabulous. He met with me prior to the surgery to go over the plan, was jovial and talkative, and assured me that he never rushes anything when he's in his OR - he takes whatever time is needed to get things done right. He saw me again when I was back in my hospital room to go over how the surgery went and to answer any questions I had. He has fantastic bedside manner and seems to be a sincerely nice and caring person. My surgery went incredibly well, very little pain, and my post-op incisions look perfect. Thank you Dr. Hurwitz for the wonderful work and care!

I had Dr Hurwitz preform a major Hernia operation on June 2020. As a surgeon he was professional and did I good job. I was more then pleased with the operation and he came to check on me several time while I was in the hospital. I also had reconstructive plastic surgery at the same time. This was recommended by Dr Hurwitz. I was back in the hospital due to some necrotic tissue. I never saw Dr Hurwitz again. I had scheduled a follow up but the day of the appointment I was notified Dr Hurwitz had emergency surgery and would have to reschedule. I never received a call from his office and when I call. Ever got any call back. I was finally able to get an appointment but after waiting for over an hour I left. If you are looking for a excellent surgeon Dr Hurwitz is your doctor. If follow up is important I would not recommend this staff. Office is very busy and not really very organized. I am sure he isn’t’t aware Of the situation but his office staff needs to do a way better job following up. Not to see your Doctor for over two months after a major surgery is really poor medical practice. My plastic surgeon was really shocked that I had not been to see him since the surgery. I did however get a bill which I am deducting my time from the amount due. My time is as valuable as his.

I highly recomend Dr Hurwitz to anyone being scared of having a surgery like me. My hernia surgery unfolded flawlessly and definitely the outcome exceeded my expectations. Dr Hurwitz is very kind and caring and his entire team very compassionate and going the extra miles to assist their patients. Thank you, Enache Popp
