I had surgery with Dr. Demure for a benign partial thyroid lobectomy. I found the doctor very patient, straightforward, and informative. The procedure went well and he followed up personally the following day post surgery, as did the anesthesiologist with a separate phone call, and the nurse from dr. Demeure’s office called also two days post op. That’s 3 separate phone checks within two days - amazing in my book. Not sure what else could be done better in my opinion.

Dr Michael Demure caused the premature death of my mother due to his surgical error. She required 30 units of blood before she left the OR...she died 17 days later. Dr Demure never told us the truth......the nurses did. The ICU physicians told us she had no chance. She languished in a coma for 17 days. He told me he did what she asked for. Really?

Fifteen years ago today, Dr. Demeure was the surgeon who assisted my wife who had been diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. We had been told she had two months to live. Dr. Demeure did the surgery and following his recommendations for chemotherapy and radiation, we had six WONDERFUL years together and I will always say that he was the one that made the difference. I was worried about my thyroid surgery and when I visit Dr. Michael Demeure, he explained everything with empathy and compassion to me and was very kind. After surgery I felt very calm and happy that all went well exactly as he explained it to me. I highly recommend this great Surgeon.

Surgical error cost my mother her life

Went to Dr. Demeure after searching online for a surgeon to do a parathyroidectomy who has lots of experience at it. Procedure prepared for using Sestamibi and ultrasound scans. Surgical scar small (1 inch) size. Pain following the procedure was minimal, recovery fast, and subsequent labwork confirmed the successful results. Very happy with the experience.
