Nancy Way's Online Review Report Card

I have been a nurse for 30 years in Orange County. I have worked beside Dr. Way for the past year. She is undoubtably the the most competent and professional general surgeon I have ever worked with. In addition, she is caring and compassionate. She respects her colleagues and will go “above and beyond” to advocate for her patients. I would absolutely trust her with my health, and the health of my loved ones.

WORST surgeon out there! Her work left me with a scar so bad on what should have been a simple appendectomy surgery - she should have her license revoked. I have a permanent indentation on my stomach, along with an unneeded 2.25" long scar.

Her work left me with an indentation and scar so deep and horrible I will never stop being self conscience. It was a simple non-emergency appendectomy which never should have looked like this. She could care less.

A terrible person and a terrible doctor...1. She botched my hernia surgery, or at least, I still have a hernia in the area that she claimed to have repaired.2. She likes to charge her patients directly as well as through their insurance. In my case, she asked for $500 upfront outside of my insurance. This is super shady!3. After the surgery, I requested records of the surgery from her office - they asked for $35 to print out the records.

great bed side manner for my wife during her emergency gall bladder operation. spoke Spanish to my Spanish wife, very comforting. She performed the operation on a Saturday night with only three hours notice. amazing. No lingering complications and rapid recovery. my wife in hospital only one night.

Excellent on all counts, removed a lump had a biopsy done and found cancer, got me in for a PET scan which showed additional similar cancers and all is well. She did not mess around and I received immediate care.

Dr. Way performed an emergency laparoscopic appendectomy on my wife near midnight at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian in Irvine. Dr. Way was reassuring, professional and expeditious. The outcome was the best we could hope for. At the follow-up appointment with Dr. Way, she was again highly efficient, professional and caring. She did not rush us at any point, and she made sure that all our questions were answered. Dr. Way also took pains to assist us to recoup some of our travel expenses

She performed an emergency laparoscopic appendectomy. I was in and out within 45 minutes of the O.R. and I was back on my feet the next day. Yes, I had pain and have been dealing with it, but I feel great and Dr. Way was very polite and nice with me in the E.R. Will have to schedule another appointment with her, she seems busy and wasn't able to see me when I was dismissed from Hoag hospital.

Worst scars a guy could have. I will be embarrassed the rest of my life. Her bedside manor was horrible, which would be okay if she was a good surgeon. I could continue but years later I am still upset every time I take my shirt off. She could care less!
