Ive been hearing about this quack for a while now. My other half was referred to her by her pcp who has to be a friend of or getting a kick back from I guess dr tsai? Anyways after she paid 1000 plus then was billed for who knows what from the office for the colonoscopy their office went dark...After many calls and messages she was read results and cleared but her problem still persists... All these innocent people were screwed by you, well I hope your malpractice insurance is up to date because I for one will not be stopping at a meaningless yelp review. I encourage anyone else who can to take legal action, even if we lose, her name may be tarnished enough to save some people down the road.
4/22/21:The majority of my YELP reviews are 5 stars to support those that provide an outstanding service to the public. I hate giving poor reviews like this one but feel that it is necessary to bring to attention that the reputation of a business or practice does matter. My initial complaint is that on Monday 4/19/21 at 10:15 AM I called Dr. Tsais office to make an appointment regarding a colonoscopy that my PCP recommended and had referred me to Dr. Tsai. I received a very short recording stating that the office was closed (for reasons unknown and for what dates) and to call back when they are open. I was able to leave a voicemail message. I provided my name, phone number and much more information and asked them to contact me. I also sent an electronic message from their their website with the same information and request. 4 days later I still have not heard back from them so I decided to look at their YELP reviews. I was shocked and immediately contacted my PCP and requested a referral to another Gastroenterologist other than Dr. Tsai. The point is that people do read these YELP reviews and they do matter! The public needs to be warned about business and practices that have poor reputations and are turning a deaf ear to those providing feedback to help them correct their issues.Updated 4/24/21:Dr. Tsai, if I knew that you are reading these reviews and taking them to heart I would gladly delete this review. I have no desire to discredit your practice. I do feel that Dr./patient communication (directly or indirectly) is vitally important.
Dr. Tsai has wonderful bedside caring manner and her staff was very helpful. This was only my second colonoscopy in 10 years so I don't have much to judge on other than her manner and care and I can say that I was impressed and I am pleased recommend her.
Saw MD once in office then she recommended I get endo/colonoscopy. Next available was 2+ months later. The day of the procedure, I waited an hour before gowning up then waited over an hour and a half before I was given anesthesia.

My major disappointment has been for billing:

The dr nor the office staff explained cost of procedure.

She does not take credit cards for payments.

Almost a year after procedures, I continue to receive bills for the procedures, lab cost, anesthesiologist, etc.

There are too many surprises with this office.
Excellent doctor. Highly recommend. Dr Tsai is kind and patient, I had my first colonoscopy with her. Very easy and no pain.
She is very attentive and listens better than most doctors.
Good doctor and very gentle
Dr. Tsai is an outstanding ,doctor, who is extremely dedicated to her patients and her field. She is a consummate professional, and brilliant in her field, punctual, caring, and always follows-up. If I could give her ten stars, I would rate off off the charts! I've' gone to her many years. Her staff is excellent, Betty, Ruby and others, I wish I had their names. Her office is always full of patients who comment what a great doctor she is.Thank you Dr. TSAI for your knowledge in improving my health. Thanks for your great staff too, who are caring, helpful and always follows-upSincerely,Wanda CavalierFormerly Wanda Askins

Find a different doctor. Dr. Tsai seems to be a kind person, but not a good doctor. I attended her office after getting a referral from my primary care doctor. I was going there for over 9 months and only was able to get 3 appointments. First impressions were not great as her office staff is horrible. I do not know if they do not like their job or they are just bad at it. As a patient you want to feel welcome and taken care of, they do the opposite. I have severe abdominal pain and went to see her. She never seemed to remember who I was as a patient which was concerning. She ordered blood tests, CT scans, and an endoscopy. I was told they would contact me with the results. I had to contact them myself for at least a month after each test for my results. I also had to call to get follow up appointments because they did not want to give any, even after they found a hernia. When they finally gave me a follow up appointment she did not seem to have any diagnosis or solution and instead prescribed more medication and ordered more tests. After this, I decided to get a second opinion from another doctor. Before speaking with my new doctor I searched the internet to see if I could find out what was wrong as Dr. Tsai took 9 months and did not do so. I searched for half an hour and matched the symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome. I thought this could be it, but still wanted to see another doctor. Due to the pandemic I had to talk via face time to my new doctor. After less than a 30 minute appointment, he diagnosed me with Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Dr. Tsai did not diagnose me with anything in 9 months even when the pain continued and I could not eat anything. My recommendation is to not bother with Dr. Tsai. You won't get the help you need.
**BEWARE**
I'm typing this review, so what happened to me doesn't happen to anyone else!
I went to Dr. Tsai about 7 or 8 months ago with severe abdominal pain and constant diarrhea.
Dr Tsai ordered a CT Scan.
It took several days for the office staff to get back to me.
I was Finally told the CT Scan didn't show anything. I was basically told to use Imodium AD!!!
I continued to have the same sever pain w/diarrhea. (can only take so much Imodium AD)
The pain is so severe I'm doubled over.
I recently saw a new Specialist reguarding the same problem. She took one look at the SAME CT Scan and diagnosed me. For atleast 8 months I've needed surgery.
I'm now to compromised with health issues to have the surgery.
DID, Dr. TSAI actually LOOK at my CT Scan????
I THINK NOT!!!
One more thing..The office staff is beyond RUDE...

Sincerely,
Ms. Black
(typed by a friend)
Consumers beware of this rude doctor. I was referred by my GCP, and made an appointment several weeks out. I arrived right on time due to being adjacent to the Newport peninsula, and a strangely situated building. I filled out their paperwork, but would not sign he doctors $100 cancellation fee, or cash only per using a HSA. The doctor wouldn't see me unless I agreed to the forgoing. I wrote signed under protest, then signed. 30 minutes past my appointment time, the doctor refused to see me unless I signed a clean copy. There's no CPT code for cancelled appointments. Please refer to: dailybreeze.com/2012/01/…. I explained the policy isn't reciprocal as was being demonstrated currently, where I should charge their office a late fee. It was obvious this unprofessional rude doctor only cares about money, and wasn't a good fit. I asked for & ripped up my paperwork, then left. I'm an attorney, who took time off work, drove 30 minutes each direction, and they wasted 30+ minutes of my time. Don't go here, find another office where they treat you like a human being with respect. Shame on her!

I highly recommend Dr. Tsai, she is the nicest and most patient doctor. I just had my first colonoscopy. She made me feel at ease and super comfortable. Also, the nurses at the Hoag Endoscopy Center in Newport Beach were super sweet and efficient. Thank you
If I could give 10 stars, I would. Just completed my first colonoscopy. Dr. Tsai was knowledegAble, patient, kind and very reassuring. The staff at Hoag Endoscopy Center in Irvine could not have been better on time and super sweet and efficient. Plus the facility was new and clean! I was in and out in no time. Choose Dr. Patricia. she accepts any insurance plans
I liked Dr. Tsai because she was funny and cool. She put me at ease immediately, and she just had a fun energy. She gave me very clear directions and copies of everything. She did my very first endoscopy. All in all, great experience. It's hard to find doctors with a good bedside manner these days.
One star because there is nothing below that.Real doctors care about their patients. Not the case about this doctor or staff.
