Dr. Flora is wonderful but the entire practice is hindered by poor office management. Given their specialty, the doctors can be pulled out for deliveries but they do not have adequate coverage to insert another doctor in to cover appointments. I've shown up for appointments and had wait times from 15 minutes to 2 hours. I've heard the office staff say to others and myself that their doctor had been running late "all day" but the staff never bothers to call patients and let them know the potential wait time or try to reschedule.

Although it may take some time to get into your appointment, you know that she will spend a lot of time with you addressing your needs.

The best of the best.

I began seeing Dr. Flora when I was pregnant with my son in the fall of 2009.  The first appointment when you are pregnant is with the nurse practioner (NP).  She was great as well.  They may have a new NP now.The wait is usually about 15-25 minutes.  Once the wait was an hour,  when I checked in, the office staff told me she was running an hour behind.  Being an OB they have busy schedules and are delivering babies and taking care of patients.  She is worth the wait.Dr. Flora has excellent bedside manners.  She takes time with her patients and is very easy to talk to.  I had some complications with my pregnancy and was on bed rest at the hospital for almost 40 days before delivering by C section.  During that time when she made rounds, she took her time to explain and always asked if I had questions.

Dr. Flora is the Best! She made pregnancy and giving birth such a wonderful experience. She delivered all 3 of my boys and always made me so comfortable. She is very caring and always takes time to listen to concerns. She has the perfect balance of experience, knowledge and love for her patients. It was a true blessing to have such a caring doctor deliver my kids.

This is my third pregnancy.  My first pregnancy, I LOVED the office staff and liked the doctor.  My second pregnancy, I liked the doctor and hated the office staff.  I am sooooooooooo excited to find a doctor I LOVE with an awesome office staff!  From the person who made the appointment to the ultrasound technician to the receptionist to the RN who called me to answer a question... everyone has been FABULOUS!  I love that Dr. Flora literally pulled up a chair during my first appointment with her, asked me lots of questions and actually took notes of what I was saying.

Dr Flora is simply the best.  There are few people or things that I am willing to take the time to comment on, but I cannot say enough to sing her praises.  She delivered my first baby and made every visit a pleasure.  I honestly looked forward to seeing her at each visit, as she is truly a warm-hearted soul AND great Doctor.  I had a couple of issues during my pregnancy and she was compassionate and knowledgable.  After my daughter was born, we almost moved away and losing her as my OB was on the list of cons.  That says a lot about how much I value her as my Doctor.  Thankfully, we did not end up moving out of the area - and she delivered my son this past May.  I am ever so thankful for her - she made both experiences so positive for our family.I also wanted to comment on the negative feedback on office wait time.  A couple of things that I think are important to note....like many others said - she does take the time to address all your concerns.  Additionally, delivering babies is a huge priority and oftentimes, you can't schedule office visits around the unpredictability of that.  Having had two babies, I took comfort in knowing when my time came - I would be the biggest priority.Again, I whole-heartedly recommend Dr. Flora to any friend, family member or stranger with full confidence of knowing she will do a great job!

My doctor (Dr. Karamardian) who shares Dr Flora's practice was unfortunately was out of town when I went into labor with our first son. Dr. Flora was on call at the hospital and couldn't have been sweeter or more motivating during my delivery. Even though it was 5am and I was completely exhausted after 16 hours in labor, she was bubbly, open and made me feel like super woman! My husband and I loved her and wouldnt have wanted anyone else there to take over for our doctor but Dr. Flora. I highly recommend Dr Flora, Dr. Karamardian and all of the other doctors/staff in the Newport OBGYN practice. They are great!

Wonderful Dr! Very very caring, super nice and funny to boot!If that is not enough she spends lots of time with you. She is pretty hard to get an appointment with if you are new but she is well worth the wait. Beleive me there is a reason why she is so hard to get an appointment with when you are new. She is that good which is why she is popular!
