Dr. Taylor Dunphy did my 2nd surgery on my right knee for issues related to a chiropractor drop tabling my knee without my permission, when I went in for a back adjustment only. I had gotten my first knee surgery with another surgeon that did not do a great job, so I had a second consultation and chose Dr. Dunphy. He is so compasssionate and caring and explains everything so clearly to you. He is the best, and everything that caused my pain and swelling in my right knee, has been corrected by Dr. Dunphy. I could not have asked for a better surgeon. He is awesone !
An unexpected fall which resulted in a broken femur and done byDr. Dunphy who I'd never met. What a superb job he did and I was pain free.
Dr Dunphy is THE BEST orthopedic surgeon! He was my second opinion for elbow surgery (ORIF with plate and screws😖) and after meeting with him and discussing the options, it was a no brainer to go with him! He is caring, thorough and extremely knowledgeable with a great bedside manner. He called to personally check on me several times! If you plan on having this type of surgery be sure and do exactly as he says. Get the block! I didn't because I was scared and it was a huge mistake. Could not get behind my pain. Also, start physical therapy as soon as he gives you the orders. I waited a little bit and ended up with my arm stuck at a 45 degree angle. But with some work and time I was able to get it back to 100% in a few weeks! Im now seeing him for shoulder issues and will never go to another surgeon for my ortho issues!!
Dr Dunphy is skilled, attentive and down to earth, able to take a no nonsense overview of all factors. Very professional. I had a large lipoma in my deltoid muscle accompanied by a torn rotator cuff, torn bicep tendon, a bone spur and rheumatoid artifacts (hope I got all that jargon correct). Surgery was scheduled in a timely manner and my recovery has gone very smoothly. Looks like any scarring will barely show. I'm a "veteran" of 8 surgeries and this went smoother than any other, even with the multiple factors.
Dr Dumphy is an excellent caring orthopedic surgeon. His professionalism is above and beyond as well as his bed side manners. I can not tell you how pleased I have been with my meniscus surgery as well as all the follow ups from the team to him. Always available, calls back everytime just excellent all the way!Thank you For Dumphy!
Dr. Dunphy was great and so was the outpatient surgical team! For a first surgery, they made me very comfortable. I had a rotator cuff repair and bone spurs removed. The outcome is fantastic!
Dr. Dunphy was an amazing surgeon! Made my injury feel very important and had a great bedside manner.
Dr. Dunphy performed the surgery to repair my ruptured bicep. He did an incredible job and I was back to full health and range of motion in approximately eight weeks. With the brace on, I was able to ride my motorcycle after only four weeks. I highly recommended Dr. Dunphy if you have the option to select your orthopedic doctor. He is very professional and skilled, and an all around nice guy. Five stars!
everything was perfect
I was referred to Dr. Dunphy from one of his colleagues, for possible Arthroscopic Surgery on my Right Hip for a torn labrum that was causing me significant pain. After asking me about my problem and what have I done previously for the hip labral, I reported that I have had physical therapy, epidural injections into my hip and medications with no relief. He told me he would not do surgery on my hip to fix the labral tear, because I have arthritis already in my hip. It would make my hip worse and that I would have to live with the pain and just continue doing physical therapy. He never bothered examine me just looked at report of MRI that I had done several weeks previously. I asked then why did his colleague refer me to him, his response was for my opinion. I felt he came into the appointment with his mind already made up that he just wasn’t going to perform surgery because I had some arthritis in my hip. Well if they would have done the surgery when I was first diagnosed in 2017 then I wouldn’t be having to grin and bear it according to this doctor, but if I wanted to have surgery then there are plenty of other doctors in California.
