List of Theodore K Gregorius's Reviews
Dr. Gregorius is my hero and literally reinstated order and happiness in my life. My story began with bilateral hip dysplasia which led to two hip replacement surgeries. While both surgeries were successful and I no longer had pain in my hips, I unfortunately (due to no fault of my surgeon) ended up with iliopsoas impingement which basically meant I had hip flexor pain whenever I tried to lift my legs. Imagine my discomfort and frustration after enduring two serious surgeries just to welcome an entirely new world of pain and limited mobility. I felt like a complaining hypochondriac, trapped in a dark future until I spoke with Dr. Gregorius. He was quick to diagnose my symptoms and got me on his calendar for surgery within weeks. He went out of his way to thoroughly explain what the procedure entailed (he even drew pictures) and took the time to answer all of my many questions. I am happy to say that both surgeries were successes and I feel as though I have a new lease on life. I would highly recommend Dr. Gregorius and you should consider yourself lucky if you have the good fortune to have him as your surgeon. He is truly a credit to the medical profession!
I am an inevitable shoulder replacement candidate and since my wife had such a great experience with Dr. Gregorius when he performed her hip surgeries, it was natural for me to consider him for my shoulder needs. I sure am glad I followed her lead. I can't say enough wonderful things about the outstanding bedside mannered surgeon, Dr. Gregorius. He is thorough, knowledgeable, patient and kind. He explained everything in terms I could understand and was able to do an arthroscopic surgery that will enable me to continue my active lifestyle and put off the inevitable replacement long down the road. Of course, when the time comes, there is no one else I will even consider or trust to do it for me. It is not only Dr. Gregorius that made the process so comforting. Mayte in the office is also very pleasant, kind and attentive. She made the pre-op and post-op visits very smooth and helped me successfully navigate the whole process. She is a huge part of what makes Dr Gregorius' team so great. My shoulder surgery at the Hoag Surgery Center was as nice of an experience as can be expected. Everyone involved was professional, respectful, caring and kind. If you are in the care of Dr Gregorius and his team, there is no better place to put your trust and you can expect your process and procedure to go as well as mine.

I was recommended to Dr Gregorious from a friend who had a reverse shoulder surgery. I didn't know much about reverse shoulder surgery and quite frankly I was not looking for that type of surgery. My cuff wasn't in that bad of shape but I had worn out the rest of my shoulder. Dr Gregorious took pictures and had a MRI ordered. During the meeting in his office he showed me a reverse shoulder and a anatomic total shoulder repair. He clearly indicated I had a good shot for a anatomic repair for which I wanted, but he wouldn't know until he was inside my shoulder. I am now about 3 months post op with my new anatomic shoulder doing great. I can't say enough about Dr Gregorious caring personality and a person who will spend all the time you need discussing the situation with you. I wouldn't expect anything less from a Loma Linda University graduate and the Hoag Orthopedic Institute. I also can't pass up the opportunity to give the Doctor's assistant, Mayte Fliores 5 stars for arranging all the needed appointments.
I came to Dr. Gregorious with a serious rotator cuff issue. I had no idea how serious till Dr Gregorious showed me the MRI and how massive the tear was, I was actually borderline needing a shoulder replacement! Yikes! But Dr. Gregorious said he would give it his best shot to repair the cuff thru surgery, which was my request. Just the way he approaches and explains his procedure instantly makes you feel at ease. The before and after pictures were a miracle for sure! My Cuff is holding up by literally a thread but Dr. Gregorious and his team saved me a great deal of limitations and it is healing very well. Like everyone else on here commented, he is a sincerely caring doctor! He makes you feel so confident and to me?, cares more about your recovery then you do, if thats possible. His assistant Mayte is also a nice compliment to Dr Gregorious. Making it from beginning to end the best of a bad situation! Thank you Dr Gregorious, and your from beginning to end team!
Dr Gregorius is the surgeon you dream about and pray for if you need surgery. Surgery at any age can be scary, but age adds to it. This Dr was meant to be a surgeon and he is the best in the world in my opinion. I could not have done this without his kind reassurance and amazing knowledge of the shoulder. A brilliant man to say the least. The staff is amazing as well. All the sweet ladies at the front and the nurses, all a great bunch of people. If you ever need surgery, this is the place and the doctor that I feel will take care of you and your future.
This dr. Is awesome compassion Ethics and professionalism he saved me a surgery other dr.s told me I needed a good solid man .
I had a bike accident that required immediate attention. Dr. Ted Gregorius was very attentive to my injury and kept me calm with his great bed side manner and professionalism. He helped me understand the high risk of infection for my situation and acted quickly to get me into surgery that day. My arm healed quickly and functions as though the injury never occurred. I am very appreciative of his vigilance.
I was urged to consult with Dr. Gregorius by my Physical Therapist for a torn rotator cuff. She observed that his patients seemed to heal much quicker because of a specific technique he uses. Twelve weeks after surgery I am ahead of schedule and doing very well in therapy. I couldn't be happier with the surgery and the post op care. He has a wonderful personality and clearly cares about the outcomes of his patients. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone for shoulder surgery.
There are not enough superlatives to describe Dr. Gregorius's skills as a surgeon and empathy as a human being. I suffered a serious industrial accident and he took very conservative measures to save my shoulder and psychological well-being. While traumatic in its' nature, having a shoulder replacement and ultimately a reversal was very successful and I believe that my best life is ahead of me. My future is bright because he walked me through every phase of recovery and helped be believe that all things were possible. Recovery was slow and steady and he was right with every decision he helped me make. I was truly blessed to have Dr. Gregorius as my guide. As an athlete himself, he understands the need to get people back into life, as an Orthopedist, he knows how to keep them there.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
