Too many patients.! Normal waiting time is over 40 minutes every time. Staff attitude is bad. They will ask you to reschedule if you think you wait too long. Unbelievable way to treat patient.

I had an emergency detached retina and Dr. You went above and beyond to meet with me as soon as humanly possible during non working hours and the coronavirus pandemic. Dr. You taught at Brown Univ. and explains things extremely well. He took a conservative approach with me and escalated as needed. I felt he was my partner and advocate. We made treatment decisions together after he thoroughly explained the situation and my options. He has a great bed-side manor too. I felt he really cared about me and the best possible outcome for me. OC Retina had convenient offices, hours, and staffing too. I owe my sight to Dr. You.

3 times I had the first appointment of the day, one of which I had to cancel because the front desk could not guaranteed that I would make it out of the office in three hours. Why? Because there was at least 15 to 20 people in the waiting room first thing in the morning, all there to see Dr. You. Assuming two people per group, that’s 7 to 10 people with the same appointment time. Dr, You has many technicians that will start your eye test in a timely manner. Then I have waited 2 to 3 hours to spend less then 5 minutes with the doctor. I complained to the front desk only to be told this is the way the doctor wants it. I had a Retina Peel that did not go well. Offer 12 months the doctor told me to come back in 2 more months, that 6 months after the surgery my eyes were still healing. It had already been 12 months since my surgery. I went to Dr. Kuppermann at UCI Medical, because Dr. You told me that nothing more could be done to fix my eye. The first thing my new doctor said to me after looking at my eye was “the surgery to your eye is only halfway completed” It has now been 6 months since Dr. Kuppermann re-operated on my eye and I can already see much better then before. I wish you all the best. :)

Excellent doctor and surgeon. Dr. You is extremely patient, caring and takes time to listen and then explain. Fantastic "bedside manner".

Dr. You saw me immediately after I had a vitreous tear diagnosed in the ED. He saved my vision. He explains everything very thoroughly and encourages questions. He is the very best.

Dr. You is an angel. He is the most caring and capable doctor I have seen. He helped my mother with the failed cataract surgery by another doctor. We went from operating room to his office and two days later he fixed the problem that was caused by another surgeon. We were really stressed out about what had happened. Thank you doctor You for taking care of my mother.

he is an awesome surgeon and takes his time to do a great job. I had a torn retina & later other problems. He took all the time needed to explain in detail to myself and my husband everything we wanted to know and understand. I couldn't recommend any doctor higher.

How can you rate someone who saves your eyesight. I tell everyone about Dr. You and his great staff. I am so thankful I found this man.

Dr You has treated me for many years. I especially appreciate his openness and patience to make sure I understand what he sees from all tests and best guesses of what future may hold.
