WORST DOCTORS OFFICE EVER! Countless times they cancel appointments and notify me. The Staff is HORRIBLE . don't FOLLOW THROUGH. MONTHS to get an appointment even if your sick or even just a regular. Never available for things most patients need. Forgetting to call in meds etc etc. Worst rudest staff ! And Most importantly you can never get an appoinment when you need . STAY AWAY FROM THIS OFFICE!
Personally, I feel the quality of services gone down dramatically. My wife had an appointment today that had been on the schedule for months. When she got there, they did not have a record of her appointment or any future appointments. Yet this was scheduled when she had her yearly physical. My last visit entailed a 15 minute interview with the physicians assistant, and then the doctor essentially giving a 10 minute recap of the notes he read. For a physical exam, that’s pretty pathetic.
The very first introduction to doctor Armstrong will be over the telephone trying to make an appointment and his front desk people are the worst most uncaring coldest people you will ever speak to, they really should not be in healthcare. I scheduled an initial appointment to see Doctor William K Armstrong, he's supposed to be my primary care physician and it's been a year and I've never seen him once. The office called me many days later, to reschedule my appointment. I was driving at the time so I entered their new date incorrectly in my calendar, and I missed the second appointment which they rescheduled me for, it's now June and I was pretty coldly told by the lady on the phone, that I cannot see the doctor until October, OCTOBER? She tells me to just go to Urgent care which is a re-curring thing I see on here based on other reviews left by other patients. Worst front desk staff ever, horrible humans. Now I've got to go through the pain of changing my primary care doctor to see a new one, I'll see it as a blessing in disguise, anyone who has any suggestion of a good office near Newport, or Costa Mesa, please advise. I moved from Los Angeles and this is horrible.
Fantastic family doctor to will listen and care about you as a person. He is prompt with keeping appointments
I called looking for a new physician thought he was impressive. The office took me 20 minutes and said they would take over two months to get me in and then I would see a physician assistant if he's busy whoever gave this doctor five star rating doesn't understand medicine and I think it's false advertising, and I would never use this position ever again. The office had somebody new working I have asked to speak to the office manager. She basically discouraged me telling me that there a physician assistant Office said it's hard to see the physician. Unbelievable.
Dr. Armstrong remains a standout in my experience with physicians. He was careful to screen for all diseases, for which I might be at risk for as a middle-aged black male with my family history.
My husband had a great first visit with Dr. Armstrong. Very personable and very thorough.
I can't get an appointment to see him until about three months later. He is too busy for patients. You can see his PA but it may be two weeks later. Front desk needs work as well. I will no longer be seeing him and will be looking for a new physician who has the time.
Always! Hoag Hospital and Dr. Armstrong are two must haves in my life. He’s young enough to know the latest and old enough to be relatable. Never condescending and always generous with his time and follow through. Down to earth and engaging…Love you Dr. A
I haven't personally met Dr. Armstrong in person yet as I just changed doctors and my first appt was via telephone but I am so glad that I found him as he seems very kind, willing to listen and easy to communicate with. Looking forward to my health being in your hands.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
