Dr. Mahller is not just an OB, he’s our guardian. Not only did he save my life; but showed the highest skill, professionalism, and genuine care during the hardest night of my husband’s life and mine. During the birth of our son, I had a very rare pregnancy complication that kills women on the spot. This complication is so rare that most OBs wouldn’t pass a case in their entire career. While I was dying, literally speaking not figuratively, he had enough wit to lead every single person in the medical team to save me while holding my hand to comfort me. After the incident, he showed up over and again for my family to make sure we’re ok. Office speaking, Dr. Mahller’s staff couldn’t be better or more accommodating. Do yourself a favor if you’re pregnant, even if you live a 1000 miles away, and go to him. You won’t ever regret your decision. Thank for everything you did for us Dr. Mahller. Dr. Mahller saved my wife’s life! I cannot be more grateful for how sharp, knowledgeable, and reactive he was. My wife’s life threatening condition that occurred during delivery happens for 1 in 100,000 pregnant women and in most cases patients don’t make it out alive. It takes a very experienced doctor to recognize this and react to it the way Dr. Mahller did since doctors can spend their entire careers and not run into such a case. After delivery he accompanied my wife through the emergency CT Scan and stayed with my wife until her condition stabilized in the ICU then came to the nursery to update me about her condition and took me to see her. Dr. Mahller truly cares about his patients and their babies wellbeing. He came to check on my wife everyday after the ICU episode. Complicated pregnancies are what really set doctors apart and I am so thankful we picked Dr. Mahller to be our OB.

Tabitha Indris is by far the most comforting and easy going health care professional I have ever come into contact with. During the Nexplanon removal, she verbally walked me through every step she had made and also educated me on the way. Like the Bill Nye the Science guy of Women's healthcare. Furthermore, during my women's wellness check she did the same and walked me through what she was looking for and what I should look for if things were abnormal. I have been a woman for 27 years and I have never felt some compelled to stay with a healthcare professional. I feel like anyone would be at ease and safe with her, and you also get educated on the way!!! She's the best! My nexplanon removal was also SMOOTH and healed less than a week!

Dr. Mahller is simply the best. He delivered our daughter and saved her life by performing an emergency C-section after determining that her umbilical cord was wrapped around her head five times. It was a scary situation for us but Dr. Mahller's gentle approach and skillful delivery made all the difference. We couldn't be more grateful. We highly recommend this office.

I highly recommend Dr. Mahller and Dr. Chang, this was my third C-section, my delivery went really smooth and I was so relieved because my previous C-section I developed a hematoma with a different OB. The Ladies at the front desk are always very helpful and sweet. This was a planned C-section for me, ALL my questions and concerns were answered and I felt that I was in really good hands. At first I was aiming for a natural birth , however after Dr. Mahller explained the risks, taking that into consideration I decided to have a planned C-section. it was worth it. I'm so happy with my decision and my scar is beautiful. I've had 3 C-sections and this scar is the one that looks the nicest, cleanest. I have a healthy baby boy and my recovery is going very well. I'm so happy I found Dr. Mahller.In the picture I don't know why I have my hand over my stomach, guess I forgot I wasn't pregnant anymore

This will be the most important and personal review I have ever made on Yelp. I have been with Dr. Mahller since the beginning of my pregnancy and the entire staff here is nothing short of amazing. At every visit I am welcomed with warm smiles. I had a unique situation with my pregnancy where I needed a lot of special care/ monitoring with my pregnancy. At every visit, Dr. Mahller and Dr. Chang took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns (this took tremendous patience on their part). I never felt rushed or like I didn't matter. They treated me like family and you will not find better care than from here. Catherine at the front desk is extremely helpful and organized. I had to have a c section and I have a debilitating fear of needles, blood, and surgery (so bad that I faint and have panic attacks). On the morning of my surgery, Dr. Mahller was there advocating for me every step of the way and I truly feel like he is an Angel. My husband and I want another child soon and I look forward to being under Dr. Mahller and Dr. Chang's care again. Also, Hoag Newport where he delivers at was an amazing experience with superb patient care. If you want a friendly, caring, intelligent, experienced OBGYN then this is the office for you. Dr Mahller was excellent! I felt like a patient & not a number. He was punctual for almost every appointment (births don't heed schedules) & his office was intimate. At appointments, if I ran out of questions Dr Mahller always had a list of items to discuss, to engage me and help me learn about my options to make informed decisions. During my amazing birth, Dr Mahller encouraged me & respected my wishes. He had great relationships with the long time Labor & Delivery nursing staff. Dr Mahller will be my OB for all subsequent pregnancies! Thank you for the wonderful experience!

I went there for one initial consultation because I needed a new doctor and it was very disappointing. He had this jokingly manner throughout the whole visit, which was not amusing to me, as I was in distress. He didn't know anything about my health condition, I had to explain how it could be identified and what was the protocol for treatment. I was looking for a next step in how to deal with this, but he couldn't present any. At the end of the visit I thought it was very cheeky that he said: "come back whenever you need some help" as if I didn't need help that day. He was not equipped to help me and made little funny remarks in the office which hurt me a little bit. Yesterday I finally went to an excellent doctor in Irvine who knows about this condition, did the necessary tests and researched a protocol for re-treatment. I thought this visit with Dr Mahler was a let down, unfortunately.
