List of Zacharia Reda, Md's Reviews
I wish I could give zero star. Dr. Reda is the worst doctor I’ve ever seen. Not talking about the situation not giving us the test results. He was on a rush always. More importantly he had a wrong diagnos of asthma for my daughter. My daughter was on asthma medication for almost 2 years. Then we realized she had allergic reaction and made her caughing. I am not recommending him at all !
Aside from the positive reviews. Our experience is definitely different. Our daughter was with him/& staff for 1.5+ years & never controlled her asthma. They did blood tests & revealed that she is environmentally allergic - what type of environment exactly so we can avoid it ? No answers. Actually we find out that she is not allergic to anything environmental wise. Long story short, They simply go by the red / yellow / green protocols & that’s it. You call them with our daughter extremely sick for 2days & red zone protocol not doing a thing. Their simple answer is - stay few more days & call us back if she didn’t get better. (& that happened 3+ times) Not the best care to be honest I recall one time I begged one of the doctors for over 1hr for a known medicine that from research helps with my daughters case (I’m the one asked , she didn’t propose it) & barely gave me the prescription. Which helped btw So avoid this place in my Honest unbiased experience… & doctor Reda is not a nice & always feel at a hurry.
This is hands down the best pediatrician's office we've been to and we interviewed several before our first child was born 4 years ago. We initially went to 2 other pediatricians prior to finding Dr. Reda & Newport Children's Medical Group. Now both of our children come here. The entire staff is amazing from reception to techs & assistants to doctors - they're always so friendly, willing to help, go the extra mile to make time or squeeze us in if it's a rush, call in scripts, etc. You can tell they truly care - from how they greet us & treat us. They're amazing!! They also have a doctor on call at all times for any late night questions, etc. Dr. Reda is our primary pediatrician, who is extremely knowledgeable and incredible, but we've also seen Dr. Kelum, Dr. Katz, Dr. Sheppard & Dr. Tu who are all absolutely wonderful, as well. I truly can't say enough great things about them.
This man saved my son's life. I cannot express the gratitude that I have for Dr. Reda, and what he has done for my family. My son came down with a terrible (and quite rare) lung infection that had been dismissed by the ER team at not one, BUT TWO different hospitals. Not satisfied with the answers, and level of care I received at the 2 hospitals the two days before, we sought out Dr. Reda for his opinion of what I knew to be a much more serious condition than I had been told. Dr. Reda took one look at my boy and immediately admitted us to the hospital for a CT scan of the lungs and a complete blood work up. He was pretty upset that the 2 previous hospitals had sent us home. Needless to say, it was serious enough for us to spend 6 days in hospital (5 in the PICU). While we were in the hospital Dr. Reda had followed up with every doctor at every shift change, sometimes multiple times, in order to stay on top of my son's condition and diagnosis. This was probably the worst week of my life, and to know that I had a competent doctor that truly cared about my son's wellbeing in our corner sure made our horrible journey a little better. I thank God we found Dr. Reda, had we not, and listened to the other (incompetent) doctors we had seen, my little boy might have ended up in much worse condition. I'd also like to note that we were not previous patients of his, this was our first appointment with him. He went completely above and beyond. I could write so much more on this experience and how it transpired, and I can say that once Dr Reda got involved, our condition was managed with the utmost care, and professionalism. Truly a great Doctor!!! I will be forever grateful.
Excellent doctor! He is very caring and knowledgeable. He has been taking care of my two boys for 15 years. Highly recommend!
Not a provider to take children to. Claims of being a specialist office and wanting to run lung scans and ultrasounds in the clinic and then overcharging for these unnecessary evaluations. Seems to only be in this for the business not for patients.
Dr Reda refused to see us in the hospital with a newborn due to covid related concerns. There was no conversation with us just a flat out refusal to come see our newborn. I had called his Laguna Beach office a week before we delivered at Hoag to let them know we would like him to be our pediatrician. The lady who I spoke with said when you are at Hoag tell them you are with Newport Childrens Medical Group and Dr Reda. She said they have a few doctors in their group who frequent Hoag in Newport so even if Dr Reda is not available someone from their group could come see us. Even if Dr Reda did not want to see our newborn he could have easily assigned someone else in his group to come by but we never heard from anyone in the group while at Hoag. It was very disappointing to see this from a doctor. Even the hospital pediatrician who gave us the bad news said she has not seen this happen before. She apologized and recommended we see another pediatrician.
Dr Reda has a lot of experience and communication is great.
I had a great experience with Dr. Reda. The entire process was very welcoming and efficient. Dr. Reda helped and his staff ensured there was almost no wait time and that I was seen immediately after arriving.
Dr. Reda and his staff are excellent! Dr. Reda is my twins 5 year old pediatrician. I would highly recommend him to any parent looking for excellent care for their child.
