List of Urgent Orthopaedic Care's Reviews
Dr. Gendelman and his staff are warm, sharp, and professional, absolute standouts in orthopedic medicine and a breath of fresh air in the sometimes impersonal modern medical field. Abiel, the office manager, was the best point of contact I had throughout my treatment at various clinics for my injuries. Despite handling endless paperwork and requests he always followed up, never once dropped the ball, and was so helpful and kind. Dr. Nevarez is world class, an expert with a fantastic sense of humor who is caring, compassionate, and passionate about healing. She always took the time to answer my questions, providing fresh insights and recommendations. You will leave your appointments with Dr. Nevarez inspired to keep moving forward (physically and mentally) on your healing journey. When I saw this practice I could finally relax and focus on getting better knowing I was in good hands. Thank you for your expertise and your humanity, you're an amazing team!
This place never respect their patients. They never help them in time. I hade to wait more 15 minutes and after understood that they can not be helpful
I really appreciate your guys help , you made me feel better. I also recommend the Dr. Genderman and Dr. Nevorez, they helped me improve my injury, and the receptionist abiel was a pleasure and also so kind! 100% recommend!
Sinceramente muy agradecido por todas las atenciones hacia mi persona, el Dr Gendelman y su personal fueron muy pacientes conmigo, al Momento de mi cirugía sentí plena confianza en su trabajo y ahora estoy satisfecho con los resultados
Made an appointment weeks ago In advance for an injured rotator cuff, and when I showed up for my appointment was told I'm not on a list. Then I was asked a thousand questions, that felt like an interrogation, about who I talked to and when I called and am I sure and so on. This is the first time in my life that this has happened and the front desk didn't even offer any solutions. Just looked at me with a wide indifferent eyes.
They use the word URGENT very inappropriately in their name. I have a problem with my knee and would prefer not to go to the emergency room so I found this place. When I called I was told they did not have an appointment until August 17. I don't think you get to call your practice Urgent Orthopaedic Care when you're going to make someone wait over three weeks for an appointment. Shame on you for your false advertising.
After months of not being able to find an orthopedic surgeon willing to see me, my Healthnet rep finally found Dr. Vlad Gendelman. I had an ORIF surgery done 11 months ago by a surgeon at Cedars Sinai. I was getting desperate, as few surgeons apparently want to review the work of another surgeon. Dr. Gendelman was the answer to my prayers! He immediately requested new x-rays which I had done down the street and he called me with his evaluation. So pleased by the whole experience!
Have you ever seen the mini series or documentary about DR. DEATH? This experience reminded me of that. Just so no one sues me, I should say that the medical care was OK. Nobody died or was crippled (if you've seen DR. DEATH you know what I'm saying). But also if you watched the mini series, they have a whole storyline about that doctor having videos produced to sell his services -- that is more why I made the comparison. Read on if you choose. This review is a long time coming -- well over a year - but don't you worry darlings, I remember every detail like it was yesterday. My sister had fallen and broken a bone and needed urgent orthopedic care. She found this place and off we went. The waiting room is quite clinical. No creature comforts to speak of, which is fine, though I did find it odd that the seats were so AWFULLY UNCOMFORTABLE in the waiting room where many patients might already be in some kind of orthopedic pain. The wait was LONG. Okay, they're busy -- I thought "that must be a good sign." The room was FULL of patients all in varying levels of discomfort from orthopedic issues. LOUDLY playing over and over again on the TV in the waiting room was a promotional video about some new kind of laser therapy they were offering, how it takes pain away with no side effects, doctor interviews (the very doctor we were about to see), patient interviews, etc. So to boil it down for you: You've got a room full of people in pain, many waiting upwards of half an hour (we waited 40 minutes). You decide it's a FABULOUS idea to play a video about some costly add-on your practice offers, subjecting them to listening to it play OVER AND OVER again like some kind of equivalent to water torture. I mean, I guess it's good business strategy -- play a video that promises miraculous pain relief with no side effects to a room full of people in pain = GENIUS. I'd rather have my doctors make recommendations during/after their examination / meeting with me as part of my care instead of through some marketing/sales video that leaned heavily into infomercial territory, but hey -- that's me. After about 20 minutes of listening to this blaring sales video from hell, I kindly went to the front desk and asked if the volume could be turned down a bit (bothering my ears I think I said), and they rudely responded "No. It's always on that loud and it's fine." Another woman in the waiting room piped up saying it was bothering her and they suggested she move to another area of the waiting room (she was sitting under the TV and FYI was walking with a cane and the room was small). ARE YOU KIDDING ME with your gross, sweaty sales tactics?!? FORCING people to watch that stupid video over and over? And not caring if it's legit driving their patients crazy? And being rude on top of it? They should be embarrassed. It was so slimy -- just snake oil salesman tactics all the way. Besides the video, Dr. Vandelman was fine -- not particularly friendly or nice. But efficient and capable. So if you want to go to a place that clearly gives the impression that they care more about upselling their patients rather than helping them and doesn't care how long you wait to see a doctor, then this is the place for you. If you prefer gentle, kind, friendly, compassionate, upscale medical care I would HIGHLY suggest going elsewhere.
This is not an Urgent Care Orthopedic facility. No walk ins. Kind of a misrepresentation.Appointments only.
Dr.Vlad Gendelman is a very professional doctor. He replaced 2 knees for me.I feel very good,I do not feel any pain.I recommend the doctor Vlad Gendelman to all my friends and acquaintances. He is a very knowledeable doctor.Thank you very much.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
