This doctor does care about treating patients. He only does phone appointments and hung up when I had questions about my treatment. He told me that my primary doctor could deal with acid reflux, ulcers and IBS. He had more important cases to deal with.

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST DOCTOR ON THE ENTIRE PLANET. As I was asking normal questions he said "I'm getting annoyed." And by the end of our conversation he said thank you and and just hung up on me during our phone follow up appointment. I have seen him in person and he acts the same way. He would not explain any procedures, he was pretty much slurring his words. I can't tell if he's even awake. I told him I was afraid to do a procedure for now and wanted to see what my other options were and all he kept saying is that that's wrong and I'm making the wrong decision. He also does not prescribe any medications for anything. All I was doing was asking questions about procedures and what they show and he kept talking about insurance and how I don't know how medicine works and I don't even know why he was mentioning that because I wasn't even asking about that. The only reason why I was asking about procedures is because he does not ask you questions about your health, how you're feeling, or your symptoms. If I did ask him to clarify something he would say I'm "confused." He wants you to talk to your primary care doctor about GI issues which does not make sense. He does not assess you at all or ask about your history. He does not care about patients or their issues at all. I am very surprised he has lasted this long in this field. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR.

To anyone considering this doctor for gastroenterology, I STRONGLY advise you to look elsewhere. The doctor himself was unfriendly and impolite in my phone screening with him. His office staff is extremely rude and incompetent. I had to call them no less than 5 times to ensure that their requests for my pre-op lab work was received by my doctor's office (a simple phone call from his office could have solved it). When I finally got the pre-op lab work done, I went to the hospital and got the COVID test. The hospital gave me a handout saying that taxis and Ubers are not permitted as rides home. When I spoke to his staff, they kept imploring me to contact a friend or family (to pick me up at 7AM in Northridge!), which I told them is not an option. They said it is a hospital policy. When I called the hospital, they said it is up to the doctor's discretion. I felt very disrespected every time I spoke to his office and would not trust the doctor with my life or stomach because of this incompetence. After months of trying to get this endoscopy I cancelled it, which was very upsetting. Stay away!

The doctor only sees patients over the phone and the call will take about 3min or less. He is very rude. Following up on a pending authorization for an exam, forget it will take months and that's because the office staff never works on getting the auth.
