List of Robert A Ruelaz's Reviews
Four years ago I experienced a rather alarming heart rhythm issue and ended up in the ER at Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital. I met Dr. Ruelaz when the cardiac guys at Hollywood Pres referred me to him at that time. This was a new medical issue for me and was really concerning especially at first. It turned out that the issue was Atrial Fibrillation and Dr. Ruelaz helped me get it under control quite well with medications as well as my blood pressure. Dr. Ruelaz was generally alwaysavailable to help me when problems arose. As time progressed the Afib gradually got worse and I ended up in the hospital again in March of this year. After this incident I decided to go ahead with a catheter ablation procedure Dr. Ruelaz had previously recommended but I was rather reluctant to do. Its now been five months since the catheter ablation and I have not had a recurrence of the Atrial Fibrillation. If youre looking for a heart rhythm specialist I would highly recommend Dr. Ruelaz. Hes helped me get a normal life back which is completely awesome. Also dont worry about some of the other reviews. Ive been seeing Dr. Ruelaz now for four years and hes a really cool guy. His staff have also always been very good to me no problems at all.
I met Dr Ruelaz 8 years ago at the Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center i had come in with a very scary heart situation and he was volunteering that night as an oncall Cardiologist. He treated me so well and was super cool and informative. Ive been seeing him ever since. Ive never had the luxury of having health insurance and hes always been so affordable and has given me the same great care regardless. Hes also very committed to being available for lower income communities and that says a lot to me about his character and priorities. His whole staff is super cool too its a family atmosphere. I would highly recommend seeing him.
I have to say I have the up most respect for Dr. Ruleaz he has been in my life for almost 4 years now. A few months after I received my ICD I had a blood clots and they wanted to remove my device as he was actually on vacation he call the hospital and spoke with the doctor and also called me to reassure me on some issues I had to respect that completely. He knows what he is talking about and put pride in doing his job
Excelente Cardiólogo hace 4 años tengo de estar mirándolo y muy buen Doctor excelente lo recomiendo
Robert Ruelaz is an awesome cardiologist highly recommend him to anyone in need of a cardiologist
Terribly managed office. Worst administration of a medical office I have ever seen. They also appear to have nonmedically trained staff practicing medicine. Avoid if at all possible.
The man who answered the phone was so rude and unprofessional I called he put me on hold without telling me anything I thought they had hung up so I called again and all he says is “I’m putting you on hold” before I said anything I was on hold he answers with an attitude and I told him I forgot the time of my appointment he puts me on hold again after 5 minutes he asks for my name and puts me on hold again and then he answers and just says “11” I asked him what is your name and he said bye thank you and hung up This type of customer service makes the office look so unprofessional. He sounds unhappy with his job. Please hire someone else since he isn’t great full of having a job.
Dr Ruelaz is The worst cardiologist ever met he had really bad bedside manners and very poor communication skills would not recommend him to anyone
Attempted to confirm an appointment. The person on the other end of the phone was completely rude and instead of ending the conversation with "goodbye, or see you later or have a nice day" they just hung up. When I called back to address this, I was told that my appointment had been cancelled and I would need to find a new cardiologist. Never got in the front door, but maybe that's a good thing!!!
Great staff and Dr

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
