List of Meritage Medical Network's Reviews
Signed up for an Aetna HMO based on the doctors in the provided network list of Primary Care physicians. The two doctors I was interested told me that they have not honored Meritage for over a year and that Meritage knows this fact. If they can't even maintain a list of current providers what else "can't" they do. This is very frustrating as It is very hard to find a PCP in Marin county, and I chose my plan based on the providers they supplied. Because of this I had to change my insurance plan.
Absolutely the worst.I had two appointments set before these charlatans took over my network. They were both cancelled for" failure to get authorization." If I posted my true feelings they would be censored .
This company doesn't care about members' wellbeing and health. I don't know why they even have to be in the middle of insurance company and members. Just to reject referrals and delay getting care from a doctor.
Meritage does not do what they say or promise. They were supposed to send $15 gift cards to patients if you make an annual wellness visit with your primary care doctor. My appointment was completed in October 2020 and they were supposed to send out the cards by the end of December 2020. After calling them 4 times from October to January and continually being told "next week", "next month" and 2 postal mail letters, no response has been received. They should not make promises (in printed form!) they do not intend to keep. Unfortunately, being part of specific Medical Networks is not a choice for patients.
Meritage Medical Network has been wonderful to me and my family. I cannot say enough good things about them. We feel very fortunate to finally have a decent HMO, that is Meritage and I hope they have a long and happy existence!
I was Lucky enough to get Becky on the phone. I was really frustrated when I called and she immediately jumped into action. She was absolutely amazing and went out of her way to help me with my problem. She even called me 3 times to check in with me and make sure I knew everything that was going on.
I am a Medicare beneficiary who was looking to lower my monthly costs by switching to a Medicare Advantage plan; I was assigned Meritage as my provider. I find that I had to be willing to accept a lower level of service which I found unacceptable.
This is a downright terrible organization. They intentionally falsify bills and deny just claims. Run, don’t walk away from here irresponsible and incompetent sub-humans.
Candice, who is a customer care representative for the providers is rude, has disgusting attitude towards pepole. She should definitely not be working as a customer care representative. Maybe a career where she needs to deal with machines would fit her better.
These are bad people with bad ideas and horrible intent. Being part of the MMN was one of the worst health care decisions I have ever made. They allow for fraudulent billing by their partners. This company is a complete scam.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
