Kaiser Permanente's Online Review Report Card

This is a review of Kaiser in general. I was fortunate enough to have been covered through my dads insurance, and for that I am grateful. I had received service and was subsequently billed for the service. My coverage was not accepted because there was an error in the system regarding my birthday. Seemed like an easy fix, I called back and fourth between the insurance company at my dads job and Kaiser. I was told by a Kaiser representative that “my” debt would be put on hold and not increase until the issue was resolved. I was told not to contact them, and that I would be contacted should the situation change or evolve. I trusted the experts, the people who benefit off my dads labor and are paid to provide insurance and coverage to resolve the issue. They did not, instead they sent my account to collections without calling me to notify me. I am now paying triple the amount I owed. When I asked who I could talk to about this injustice, I was told that I couldn’t do anything about it, and further, that I would only make things more complicated if I pursued it further. I am not sure who to contact or what to do, but this type of behavior happens ALL THE TIME, to people I’m worse off situations than me. Shame on you, Kaiser. Shame on you insurance companies. You’re job is to help people, instead you operate like car dealerships prying on people trying to do the right thing and contribute to a better health care system. It’s no wonder people don’t trust the medical system as it stands. I hope your business collapses and that you are held responsible for the financial burdens you place on your customers.

I give only three stars because of the doctors. The staff and everyone else are wonderful, friendly, and caring and deserve five stars. But after trying two different doctors there and finding them very condescending, unable/willing to listen and/or look up from their computer screens caused me to switch to the long drive to Fresno for a doctor. The doctors don't get even one star.

I agree with other reviews. Oakhurst Kaiser desperately needs an x-ray at this facility instead of driving ~30+ miles one way! They could afford it if they would STOP adding to that monstrosity in Fresno. After all, they have many, many patients all over this area! A lot of them elderly who cannot drive that distance.The Oakhurst pharmacy has become ridiculous for the wait time, and always say they NEVER receive the on-line orders to be filled for when one picks up! Maybe they should FIX the system then!The schedule for Kaiser Oakhurst is closed on Mondays. So you should state that in the particulars for this facility! And it seems like NO doctor is employed 5 days/week at Oakhurst!Pretty soon they will have robots for all occasions - its almost there now, since their entire system is automated!Dorothy H.

Terrible experience rude and condescending doctor

2 hour wait for simple lab draw. Oh...and there were only 5 people in front of me. Some lady was trying to defend the wait time by saying The phlebotomist was by herself. Absolutely unacceptable service and poor customer service. Only a piss poor phlebotomist draws 5 people in 2 hours.

I have had all great experiences with Oakhurst Kaiser.My Doc Jerry is great he responds in a very timely manner has great manners and is very thorough.

waiting 19 minutes to assist 2 people with 2 still ahead me at the pharmacy to pick up prescriptions at 9am pure ridiculousness
