If I could give -5 stars I would. If you have any melanin that is darker than a white sheet of paper..... STAY CLEAR OF DR LITTMAN. He will dismiss you saying everything that is wrong with darker complexions is due to DNA and cannot be fixed unless it's " regular" acne. He had the nerve to get upset for me asking questions about different products he wants to put on my skin. He rushes you and gets upset if u don't agree with him about your skin. His words, "I didn't know I was gonna give you a whole science lesson today", this was my first time to a dermatologist and I repeat if u have darker complexion stay away from this clinic. He will belittle you into thinking your concerns are worth nothing!! However I would give the front desk 5 stars they were sweet ,amazing and very apologetic for that pompous twit they call a doctor. The supervisor gave me a refund and I was on my way . Thank you front desk for being understanding and compassionate.
Extraordinarily outdated office that seems to refuse technology lol. Front desk was rude to the point of being funny? Also straight up BLOOD on this machine in the office…
I had been a patient of Dr. Hilger for at least 8-9 years. He found my first squamous cell. He knew I had a history of skin cancers. Nice guy. Down to earth...then something changed. What began in late August as a rough patch the size of half a baby fingernail morphed into 7 months of pain, anxiety and the size of a silver dollar. I saw Hilger 3 times and he continued to tell me it was an isotropic scar. I had never had an injury in that area. I got a second opinion. Krassnoff in Pinole did a biopsy (shaved). I was unaware that there were different biopsies. It felt fine for 2 weeks then returned with a vengeance. Krassnoff sent a copy of the biopsy to Hilger who then told me the test was benign. By April it was larger than what is in the photo and of course by that time it was full blown squamous. His biopsy, which hurt like crazy because of the injections, not only showed it was squamous BUT it then became infected. I called the office to report it was imflamed (and I am the QUEEN of wound infections as far as keeping them clean and properly cared for) Hilger said he saw no infection, thank goodness his Nurse said something to him and I was placed on antibiotics. Then 2 weeks later again with the pain for the actual excision and now a lovely scar. I don't mind the damn scar, I do mind that after numerous appointments I was gaslit and that had I not been pro-active this could have invaded my lymph nodes. I understand Doctors are not Gods and mistakes can happen but when you see a Dr. who knows your history and continues to ignore what is front of them, well as you can image, I left. The ONLY reason I did not pursue legal action is that Hilger USED to be a good Dr. AND his Nurse (the tall blond, forgive me for forgetting your name) is a gift. Time to retire, and NEVER be afraid to get a second or third opinion.
Terrible front desk service. Expect to be treated rudely, within minutes of asking a simple question, I was getting yelled at. Honestly, it seems like it’s time for her to retire and make room for a more professional and respectful individual to take her place.
I'm not sure about all of the doctors here but definitely don't go see Dr. Littman. He charges a full price "specialist" fee to get a skin checkup, but then takes literally 15 seconds to say "everything is fine, uou can go". He wanted to know why I come in for these checkups? Because he removed cancer from my fucking face. I guess with all the time he spends with patients, he can't be bothered to read the charts. This glaring omission got him started bragging about how he looks at himself "all the time" but has still missed 9 cancers on himself. What the actual fuck? Bragging about how badly he does his job? This guy sucks, but is also expensive and finds his own incompetence something to brag about. Hard pass.
Have had an exceptional experience here with the dermatologists. Also the staff, Jessica, Kim, and Lindsey. They're friendly and they really know what they're doing. My doc is Dr. Littman. As for the decor, I didn't come here to examine their furnishings and I think it's ridiculous for anyone to bitch about it. I mean, come on. Cheers, A
The best professional doctors around.
the waiting room is dreary and ugly. the offices are a maze of twisty little passages. the staff, including the dr assistant, seem kind of rude and curt. i figured partly due to the awful, ugly, cramped offices? yes, this is a paper-only office, so that's inconvenient. the doctor, an older tall fellow, explained things sort of well, but a little quickly for me. i felt rushed. in the end, i am going to a different doctor.
Went here to have a skin tag removed. The doctor was nice enough but I the staff are mean, and the place is kinda run down. Not recommended.
The doctors are pleasant but following an exam, they provide NO written information at all with specific instructions about how to care for a wound. At Sutter you always receive an After-visit-summary, but the receptionist for Dr. Paslin told me "we are an ONLY-PAPER organization"! For minor issues this may not be a problem, but with a diagnosis of "possible melanoma" I want to know exactly how to treat the biopsy wound! The receptionist said I could travel to Oakland to get a copy of the written notes which she refused to read to me. Why didn't they provide these notes at the end of the visit? We will not return to this practice.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
