They are still not answering my legal letters that have been sent over by attorneys and one of the things that I find highly disturbing is both Analuz tapia and Allison Major Have taken it upon themselves to do character assination In retaliation of me speaking out about how they caused me to fall into domestic violence because of their neglectful care and handling of my case I came to them seven plus years ago When I was going through prosecuting someone who did a horrific crime to me When I was under age both of these women had a huge impacts of me becoming a victim of domestic violence and relapsing into domestic violence while i was under their care Both of them are very abusive Catty and malicious Try your best to avoid them if you ever get around them they aren't nice people And if you are both reading this i will never forget what you did and you are the reason why most women can't have healthy relationships with other women because of toxic behavior that you guys both do because you're so insecure and unhappy with yourself and you don't want to own up to your faults You had no business taking on someone who was a victim of a crime and traumatized I needed advocacy support you deal with people who go way beyond that and Anluz you owe me a apology For what you allowed halie to do You allowed her to Falsely call law enforcement on both me and my roommate Who happens to be trans Talk about a major civil rights violation Towards both of us

This is a review of Amber House first of I'm a client of bacs as of current I am at the Amber House two week program and to be honest I can't stand this place the staff here tell us how to talk and they belittle people when they think others are not listening. Also I've had problems here as far as with a package that just had shirts in it. I would not recommend Amber House or would I suggest you be a client with any other part of BACS I've been with them for about three years and they do not treat people right at all and this is a fact.

As a landlord I would not use this agency. The claim of supporting their clients and landlords is false. I have had three of their tenants. Police raids constantly happened with one and they just placed him elsewhere and made him another landlord problem. One couple who required an in home aide never received one and the result was the unit was uninhabitable and they again left me with large bill and mess. Their claim of getting the unit back to a rentable state is a lie. They leave you will all the expenses. I have another tenant that was promised wheelchair ramp for three years and still hasn't received one. They don't follow up and are filled with excuses. They need oversight.

These people are angels!! Jasmine Yohai in particular. I have never encountered more kind, giving and helpful souls in my life!!

Very uneven granting and delivery of services, has resulted in numerous complaints, including of some most serious kinds. KPIX news did some segments about particular cases. These appear to be mostly simply denied or rebuffed by BACS, rather than responsively resolved. In some cases this results in adding manifest problems and harms to the 'client', as well as putting them at further disadvantages, needlessly.They also do not comply with HUD, nor Alameda CoC specification and outright contractual requirements in procedures and documentations. Such noncompliance ought not be allowed or accepted.Potential clients need to be warned about contacts with BACS staff and wholly verbal interactions. Things get said, including the most specific commitments which can affect much more, but then vanish later without any record. Try to have a true advocate for your best interests involved. Also get and keep copies of ALL documents involving you.The BACS slogan ought to be changed from:"We Do Whatever It Takes"to:"Whatever"until/unless they live up to it reasonably demonstrably, in practice.

BACS is a place of healing. BACS assist millions in changing their lives for the better through mental services, housing, employment and other much needed services. Whatever it Takes! Noboby does it better.

I used to work as a counselor at Thunder Road. I was able to participate in changing the lives of clients and their families members for the better. Individual, group, family, and multifamily sessions can be employed to help clients. The after care is very important when the discharge contract is performed well. I have a degree in clinical psychology. Many of the staff are in recovery but lack many of the skills for treating psychological disorders. The results are that addictions are partly addressed but the psychological problems are not often identified and addressed. If there is a healthy bond between client and counselor the client improves. It is important that the counselor understand how to work with clients who set themselves up for failure. I found the psychiatrists very skilled, wonderful. I found the management, simply awful. Meaning their lack of understanding of mental health leads to limiting drug addiction to a smaller focus at the expense of the larger picture. With some changes of incompetent management (NOT the psychiatrists) the place could improve greatly.

Any entity that would stand behind this person I would be wary of. This man is a straight up predator. While a guest at the GEO Re-Entry Services "half way house" on Taylor Street this man quite literally used his skills as a psychology major to discover my deepest fears then magnified them until he felt I would comply. Amongst a plethora of other situations I found myself in at that location this one stands out to me more than most. Per GEO Re-Entry Services policy "any resident at any time may be asked to do a chore by a staff member." A monitor by the name of Alex Omoko took full advantage of that rule routinely. One day stands out more than most is when Alex Omoko had saw me sitting downstairs after he had walked out of one of the 1st floor restrooms. Alex Omoko made a point to rub his stomach indicating he had just finished defecating. After making awkward eye contact he instructed me to immediately clean the restroom he had just finished using. This occurred when I was still under the supervision of the Bureau of Prisons and I became worried after he started using reverse psychology that I would be remanded back into custody for failing to obey his direct order. Conversely I was disgusted by the nature of the order not to mention the smell. To my everlasting shame I ended up cleaning the restroom. I once asked Alex Omoko what was his major in college and he proudly told me psychology. In hindsight it was not hard to tell as his actions when googled fit perfectly into the psy-op category. When he did the 10PM, 12AM, 2AM or 4AM "count" he would frequently flick the light switch on and off rapidly when I was sleeping.To call this man a humanitarian would be like calling Hannibal Lecter a vegetarian! BEWARE!!! AND AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! Whenever Root and Rebound and the social worker I was working with was repeatedly trying to upsell me on going to "BACS" I knew something was amiss I assumed it was because they had some sort of hand shake deal to get people through the door. If I would of known that Alex Omoko was waiting in the wings I would of never gone within 20 miles of ANY BACS location!!At great personal risk I write these reviews based on my experience so that others will benefit from the experiences that I have. But always do your own research!

This review is specifically for the Bay Area Community Services location at the Hedco Wellness Center in Hayward.I was told through a community outreach group in the same city as well as a social worker in a separate city that this location offers assistance with a variety of services most importantly housing. I have contacted what feels like every community outreach group in the known universe with little to no progress regarding my own living situation. And this group is no different.Despite multiple assurances upon arriving at the site I could feel that this was going to be yet another let down. Sure enough after waiting for over a half an hour outside I was told that there was no space within the program they were offering and IF (which they weren't) but IF they had any sort of housing vouchers usually in the form of hotel rooms that I would be placed in a hotel room with a complete stranger and expected to co-exist. I cannot begin to tell you how dangerous that for any person who has actually accepted those terms. The stories have been all over the news of people with mental issues causing damage in so many different ways. And for the most part the Bay Area's approach to the housing crisis is pack people like sardines into confined areas and get them off the streets à la "out of sight out of mind". Never mind the safety issue for those experiencing difficulties within there life take it or leave it. Overall this place is now NOT a great place to go if you're of African decent. Period point blank if you want something good done do it yourself. "Free" usually comes with strings attached and the strings attached to this location may have you dancing a dance that would have you worse off then when you started. As you can see from my other reviews I have not had the most pleasant experiences lately in The Bay Area...However! I write these reviews based on my experience so that others will benefit from the experiences that I have. But always do your own research!
