Extremely bad service and bad doctor. Would not recommend.
very bad vervice...this office only take patients with Medicare ....from Goverment.....
If there is a negative stars ranking, this Dr. will score some. From the reviews, there must have been many unreported misdiagnoses from him that sent his patients to progressed stage of cancers, heart attacks, and even death. Someone should inquire with the CA medical board to investigate, or file in class action lawsuit for malpractice. Since he serves the SouthEast Asian populations, who are old and speak little English, no one would be able to challenge his calls or behaviors. I have known him a long time not sure if he is still alive and practices at this time. He is the typical old fashioned Asia trained doctor that acts like a King and treats patients like his children. Since his wife has pharmacy in the building, they are like royal couple. Patients have to kowtow to them. His ego is huge with nasty condescending attitudes. Someone with science background or medical credentials would see his incompetency. His office is filthy, and unorganized. They are still used the paper filing system with Manila folders since he is computer illiterate.
Dr. Dang Vu Bay was my dads primary doctor for over 10 years. We found out that he had liver cancer 1 year and a half ago. I was upset that this doctor had no idea about my dads health before getting results tests from his referrers. I noticed that he always give my dad medicines back to back and telling him that hes healthy. When I went with my dad to SF hospital to have a consultation about treating his cancer, the hospital offer Chemotherapy. My whole family decided to not do Chemotherapy for my dad due to researching how dangerous it can cause my dads body and it wouldnt help him at all; it only drag his lifeline just a little bit back but he would be really deep pain. I wanted my dad to do an experiment with marijuana. Few months after that, he went to see Dr.Dang Vu Bay his primary doctor and this doctor actually told my dad to do the Chemotherapy right in front of my mom. He told my dad to not listen to his children. He said its my dads life not his childrens life. Also, he said If the doctor said you should do it, then you should listen to them. He also laugh at my dad about experiment marijuana. I guess hes against marijuana and he wouldnt give my dad a slip or a green card to go to the dispenser store. He said he rather die than give my dad a slip. When my dad got home that day, he told all of his children what Dr.Dang Vu told him and my dad thinks he should do the Chemotherapy. Boy, I was so pissed off what this doctor had told my dad. So unprofessional and ignorant. A doctor who have no idea what marijuana can do to cancer patients shouldnt be a doctor. You become a doctor so you can be passionate to cure your clients not to keep giving them a bunch of notsosure medicine and throw them into the pharmacy so that they can lie to themselves that these medicine is helping them. Anyways, so my dad ended up doing Chemotherapy because of this doctor. My dads health went straight down in a month. He then slowly couldnt eat/drink the things he usually do. I tried giving him CBD from a cannabis store. It does help him with his pain but its not enough. I wanted to do an experiment with marijuana leave so my dad can drink it but it was late. He could not drink liquid.I couldnt believe myself to let my dad listen to this nonsense doctor so I told my dad to stop completely with his chemotherapy. After 4 months doing Chemotherapy, my dad stopped. My dad continued suffering pain in his stomach and back aches. A few months after that, my dad passed away. If it wasnt for this doctor, I believe my dad would still be here. Dont trust this doctor, hes 80+ years old. Hes just going to prescribe you with different kinds of meds, knowing that you would come back and he would prescribe you some more. Hes making money and his next door neighbor is also too. I am very disappointed in his decisions.
The Dr here does not care about people. all he does is write prescriptions and send people on their way. Recommended me starting high blood pressure meds since my blood pressure was a little high.... well what the hell you expect! IM IN PAIN!!! Im in my 30s so im not about to start something thatll have me stuck for the rest of my life.. when he sends people for lab work, he doesnt get results for 2 weeks!!! People can die by that time! If you care about your health and your family members, TAKE THEM ELSEWHERE!!
My dad passed away for many years. But I am still very angry with this doctor to these days, by not gaving him the correct diagnose or exam, and caused him had a heart attack. He cant live a full life because of this doctor has gave him lack of care.I am heartbroken each time I think of my dad.
I brought someone else and he is a good doctor i have family that goes to him for follow ups and yearly exams he is great..keep up the good work Dr. Vu :) I will see you soon
My dad was suffering from a heart attack. He went to visit Dr. Dang Vu Bay which is his regular doctor. He just did a simple exam and He told my dad that he just caught a cold. All he did was gave him the tylenol for pain killer. After 3 days my dad fell down on the floor in his living room. luckily my mom was home at the time, she end up calling 911. Ambulance took him to the closest Highland Hosipital near by. Found out that he was suffering a heart attack for several days, 3 of his heart artery were clot, damaged to his heart muscle, because no blood flow. He died not long after. I am still very angry at this matter, If the doctor would spent sometime to check on him, his lives could be saved. I wished my dad has some kind of proof so that I can take legal action against this doctor. But the doctor did not write anything to my dad. So unprofessional. It could be that he tried not to get into any liability if he wrote up anything to his patients. But thats not what a professional doctor would do. I will continually angry of his lack of care for his own paitien, and doesnt care for paitiens illness seriously.STAY AWAY!!My dad passed away for many years. But I am still very angry with this doctor to these days, by not treated him with the proper diagnosis and exam, and caused more damage to his heart. He cant live a full life because of this doctor has gave him lack of care.I am heartbroken each time I think of my dad.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
