3 visits, plus the biopsy from another Derm, and he still missed the squamous cell. It continued to grow and hurt like hell and he was insistent it was a raised scar, thought I had no prior injury on site, and have an extensive history of skin cancers. Started out the size of half a dime, now there is a car the size of a silver dollar. I'll give you missing it once, but not multiple times.

This man is a genius. Every time I leave my appointments I learn something new. He is so experienced and knowledgeable. I hope one day scientists learn how to clone people because when he retires we will need his expertise and brilliance forever! Genius minds like his are quite rare these days.

These guys are awesome. They're experienced in all areas of Medical Dermatology. They're in the trenches and they take insurance, whereas the Cosmetic Dermatologists will only take your cash and leave you hanging. They see a million patients a day so make sure you bring a book or your laptop and a sandwich to eat while you're waiting, they're worth the wait!

Prurigo nodularis patient for many years with Dr. Hilger. Very professional, knowledgeable about my condition and has used several treatments. Prurigo nodularis is a recurring skin condition, and the itch and pain is overwhelming. I believe Dr. Hilger has persisted in treating this desease as best he can. He is empathetic and open to ideas about new therapies. I rate Dr. Hilger 5 stars.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hilger multiple times for various skin spot removals and I will continue going because he is so thorough with explanations, kind in demeanor, and exact with his procedures. I have nothing negative to report about Dr Hilger and his office and staff.

I have been seeing Dr. Hilger for nearly five years for treatment of actinic keratosis. He has been very good about educating me about my skin problem and I have come to feel relaxed and trusting in his care. this is important when the treatment can include spraying liquid nitrogen next to my eye. In the time I have been seeing him I have retired and moved, and I now drive 150 miles for our twice yearly appointments. Dr. Hilger also has clinic days in Oakland near Pill Hill and in San Ramon.

Dr. Hilger did a Mohs surgery on my nose for a basal cancer, it was about as pleasant as possible for this type of thing. The plastic surgery doctor stitched me up at Summit hospital afterwards. He was great too. I would give them five stars but you can only give them four.
