Dr. Roger Mann is an incredible doctor who is one of the most experienced and knowledgeable orthopedic surgeons in the world. As a long distance runner, I progressively damaged my right ankle in my teens and early twenties. Doctors recommended fusing the ankle joint. I elected to wait for an FDA approved total ankle replacement solution. That wait took an agonizing 35 years. Although I don't live in the Bay Area, I learned that Dr. Mann was the most qualified surgeon in the US (and perhaps the world) to perform my total ankle replacement procedure. That surgery was 8 years ago. While I'll never run again, the joint is pain free and I'm able to stay very active. My quality of life definitely made a leap forward. Whenever I meet with/talk to orthopedic doctors in Los Angeles and the subject of my ankle replacement comes up, they inevitably ask who did the work. When I tell them Dr. Roger Mann, it's as if my ankle was repaired by the daVinci of surgeons. Thank you, Dr Mann
Dr. Roger A. Mann is an excellent surgeon to whom I have referred, as a Workers Rehab Comp Medical Management nurse numerous times. I have coordinated patients with his fine staff from several states including Alaska to be flown to the San Francisco Bay Area to be treated by Dr. Mann and staff. He performed surgery on both my feet to free me from the pain and to restore function. I now need surgery again for my feet and anticipate calling his staff for assistance. Many patients, including myself have enjoyed a better life due to Dr. Roger A. Mann's expertise, his faithful staff and their gentle kindness. Best reagards, Mary Ellen Copner, RN. MHS, CIRS
Dr. Mann saved my foot flew to CA. For months, turned into years. All the orthopedic surgeons in my state said the would amputate! Dr. Mann was the only one that would try and succeed in saving my foot and ankle. You do wait but well worth my time. He also, has my sense of humor.
I had surgery on my foot three years ago. So many hours spent in his waiting area, then finally time for my appointment past by 45 min, get moved into an exam room sit another 45 min. Worse part is this was repeated every time I went in. He is a very nice man but he should retire from medicine. My foot will eventually need another surgery to correct the terrible job he did on my bunion and hammer toe.
Dr. Mann was excellent in trying to resolve a problem from a prior surgery done by an overzealous orthopedic surgeon. I would highly recommend him or his son for any complicated, intricate foot or ankle surgery. Both Dr. Mann and his son listen to the patient as opposed to just listening which is hard to find these days.
Dr. Mann was very though explained everything . I was very impressed with himandtheoffice staff.
Dr fell asleep during visit
