Dr. Honner was very thorough and clear and went the extra mile to give excellent care. She even followed up with me directly a few days after my appointment to see how I was doing. I have never had a doctor do that before and I was so impressed by her commitment and caring.

The doctor discharged me from the emergency room while I was feeling suicidal and making clear statements that I could not wait two weeks until my next appointment with my gp. She was condescending, patronizing, and has zero listening skills.

My family member came into the Alta Bates ER less than 3 weeks after emergency bowel surgery because his incision suddenly developed a stiff ridge and nodules. She said it wasn't bleeding and did not feel it or scan it. He had to return to Alta Bates ER three days later. That time a competent doctor saw him, did a CT scan, diagnosed the problem, and treated it. Dr. Honner's disinterest in the presenting problem and the consequences of her failure to look into it was shocking.
