Occidental Area Health Center's Online Review Report Card

I have been a patient here for at least three decades.  They are consistently wonderful.  The doctors, physician assistants and other medical staff are top notch.  They have treated my chronic complex illness with the best science possible.  And, I always feel that I have a relationship with my primary medical care person - they feel like humans to me and I believe that I feel like a human to them.   I highly recommend this organization.  Use them for health care and send them some bucks if you have some to spare.

Great team of doctors and staff.

Spent multiple days trying to make them my PCP. Only to be turned away the day I am switched to this PCP because I dont live 20 minutes closer. On top of everything the person on the phones was super rude and short with me. Would not suggest this practice to anyone looking for a caring and helpful group of doctors. You Will be severely disappointed.

My greatest praises and appreciation goes to everyone at this work/care space. They have continually been a boon to my family, with caring service and thorough treatment. Never have I felt as a burden and I have always been given answers to my question. Over the years my doctors have transitioned to new new opportunities and yet those who replaced them were always of the same caliber and nature.My most recent doctor is a gem. Forthright and caring.

Occidental Health Care Clinic is AWESOME !!!!! I have been going therefor decades.... It is a True Health CARE Clinic... I have seen Dr. Trina Bowen mostly... You could not find a more Caring and Wise Doctor. But everyone else I have had the pleasure of seeing was also amazing. They also have other practitioners in their fold... Acupuncturist, Nutritionist, Meditation, a Naturopath, Osteopath, Yoga.. the list goes on.This is a well balanced approach to health... They take the time to listen and the time to respond to all of my concerns... To all the Doctors and to all the Staff of OHCC ..I say to you a very Big.... THANK YOU :o)))  :o)) :o)))

Don't come here if you need stitches they won't treat you. Should put a sign on the door so I don't waste time bleeding in your lobby.

I called about making an appointment and was turned away and told to go somewhere else because I was not a currently registered patient...but my family has been going here for years and they didn’t even care to ask me what I needed, just rushed me off the phone and turned me away.

OAHC is a blessing.  I have lived in Occidental for 45 years and have never had a bad experience at the health center.  Many larger cities would be lucky to have such a staff.Pieter S Myers

This vet is all about money not your pet.

The wait time is unbelievable, it never seems that busy but every time I go I wait for at least 30min and that is on a good day. The drs are always in a rush or distracted by other things going on in the clinic, sometimes excusing themselves in the middle of our visit to check on lab results and other patients. Sometimes I feel that they just rush to get me out so they can move on, even when I have more questions or concerns. Bottoms line I do not feel the drs truly listen to me and will be transferring to a different dr/ facility.
