Andrew L. Ross's Online Review Report Card

I have recently relocated to the Oceanside area and needed a new dermatologist. During my first visit with Dr Ross, we reviewed my long history with melanoma and the many excisions/surgeries. Dr Ross recognized the significance of my past and performed a thorough examination. After discovering a malignant melanoma, he informed me of the best approach to mitigate the cancer and the likely implications. The excision outcome was excellent (clear margins and minimal to no scarring). I have full confidence in Dr Ross and would highly recommend him and his excellent staff.

First time visit to Dermatology Specialist in Vista. A dermatologist friend from Texas told me I needed to see a dermatologist for a mole on my cheek. I knew of this practice because I had taken my son there years ago when he was in school. I researched to see who I thought would be a good doctor to see and it appeared to be Dr. Ross. When I arrived at the office he was available right away. I think I only waited 5 minutes. He did a full body check being that I was 60 and had many prior years in the sun. Other than the mole on my cheek he noticed a very small one on my chest that he thought needed attention. He did a shave biopsy on both, I received a call from pathology with the treatment plan. I have to say that he was very informative and explained things very clearly. He gave me a great impression from a first visit.

Dr. Ross, Is great! Cordial, thorough, confident and addressed all of my concerns with empathy and compassion.

Dr. Ross is the best dermatologist I have been to. I regularly have skin cancer removed. Ross takes his time and never leaves a scar. He was even able repair a big scar left by another dermatologist. He takes is time and is compassionate and respectful.

Friendly, informative, and efficient are three words that come to mind with Dr. Ross. I've been to see him three times, now, and NEVER did he talk down to me or wave off my questions with an authoritative air of superiority. Rather, he looks you in the eyes and listens (how rare is that?) and then takes his time to answer any and all questions you have. During an actual procedure, he talks to you the whole time, explaining exactly what he's doing and what to expect. In a day and age when many feel that "healthcare" is a miserable failure, and doctors are either so bogged down with ridiculous protocols that the patient feels they are reduced to a mere number, or when the patient's plan forces them to seek care from an MD suffering from "white god-coat syndrome", Dr. Andrew L. Ross is a serious breath of fresh air! Should my insurance change in the future and not cover any visits to Dr. Ross, I will somehow manage to cut corners on other expenses, save my money, and pay him out of pocket. He's just that good!
