List of Catherine J. Lawson Md's Reviews
I've been seeing Dr. Lawson and nurse Eileen for over 10 .years. I'm always happy when I leave with her concern and throughly listening to me . And ordering test as needed. I leave feeling we have a plan for my healthcare. Thankyou Dr. lawson and staff . BRENDA L.
I didn't love my first visit. I felt judged and like the doctor didn't have empathy. We didn't even address my main concern which was my recent insomnia. Overall she just addressed part of what I came in for which was needing lab work done. She gave her opinion that I should have had them done already... something that was out of my control. It was changed from an in person visit to telehealth because I accidentally answered something incorrect on my online intake (which I explained to 3 different nurses after I submitted and the message didn't get through). During the telehealth appt, their system dropped the call 4 times. The doctor eventually just called me on my cell which made it an even more impersonal experience. I'm told I'll get an order for labs in the mail and to call back in a month or so. I wish I had a better understanding of everything and what the next steps are instead of just to call in a month. Like will they let me know when they get the labs back? I still don't know what to do about my insomnia. It was NOT a great experience.
Although I waited for almost an hour to see the doctor when she arrived she was abrupt and unprofessional. Not a positive experience at all.
I am filing medical malpractice as well as administration malpractice with the state medical board. I have consulted an attorney as well, as I have a case for many reasons the most recent being this office and Dr Lawson are seriously negligent in helping me find out if I have CANCER. Multiple radiologists have reached out to her asking her to please make a referral for one MRI before my needed biopsies, she refused. She never gave a reason, both her nurse and referral coordinator were downright rude saying "if your biopsies come back negative then she will order MRI." I had to explain to them several times, as well as multiple other doctors explained to them, we can't even DO the biopsies without the MRI FIRST. This went on for 3 MONTHS (July - October 2022). I was able to get one biopsy done without MRI and they wouldn't return my daily call for 5 DAYS AFTER they already received the results despite me calling once a day. I have a very young child, I just wanted to know if I have cancer. The TriCity Cancer Care Coordinator recorded the date and time Dr Lawson received my results and said it's horrible they will not share them with me and it took me calling once a day for 5 days after I knew they had cancer biopsy results and the nurse only told me "normally these masses are benign but we are sending you to the surgeon." That's all I was told. Lawsons nurse said she "didn't have time to go over it and is sending me to the surgeon". I asked her why she never called me back and she said "she didn't have time to explain or argue with the reasons and I should have called the imaging center doctor if I wanted to know." I started crying and said I just am trying to find out if I have cancer. She said nothing. I had to call the center that did the biopsy for my results, and they said it was the responsibility of my primary to notify me." But when I explained their refusal to give me information she even said this was horrific treatment. The referral coordinator at Dr Lawsons was shockingly rude and used appropriate language toward me (she actually used curse words and called me a name under her breathe when she thought she was on mute.) She was shocked when I told her I heard her call me those names, I asked why no one would call me back when I am still waiting for an MRI referral and two doctors have written her and called her asking for that as well. They also lied and said they didn't have results, but again, the cancer care coordinator was adamant they did have the results 5 days previous as she has the computer date and time stamp of them receiving it. Again, I still didn't know pathology reports until TriCity told me. I couldn't get Lawson office to tell me if I had cancer or not. This seems so wrong on so many levels to deny a patient peace of mind. Right now - I am still waiting for that same MRI and another biopsy. They know my family history too - sister has cancer now and just had complete mastectomy last month and I lost my mom in 2020 and aunt in 2019 - both to cancer. This is just ONE example of many wrongdoings. I had to beg in person 3 times to her PA and bring in a letter from a radiologist to even get the ultrasound with my mammogram. This office refused to order the ultrasound?! It's just so bizarre to me the extreme lack of care at this office, and the downright RUDE referral coordinator, nurse, her PA and the doctor herself. The ultrasound is what found one of my masses. The mammogram found the other. My point is - this office and Dr Lawson and her PA are criminally and morally negligent in many ways. Never go here. RUN... don't walk. Your life depends on it. I wish I had the time to write out on Yelp the MANY horrible exchanges I had over the 3 YEARS she was my primary care physician. I only stayed that long since two of the best specialists are in her network, and I thought I would just suffer through with her and her office in order to see those specialists. I regret it, now I am in this situation of not knowing if I have cancer or not, and this started over 2 1/2 months ago with the mammograms results. It is criminal to take this long sending in referrals. And if I do end up having cancer after I finally get my tests - with a NEW doctor as I fled this place after this hell of a two and a half months- then I am writing as many letters as I can to make sure she never practices medicine again. One more thing -- Before the past 2 months of horrible treatment and lack of care trying to find out if I have CANCER, I have many examples of complete lack of care about my health, horrible communications and rudeness. I have documented dates, conversations and messages to create very long and detailed letters to any and all agencies that oversee doctors, PAs and their staff.
I want to say thank you to Dr Lawson, Eileen and the whole staff for always being so caring and concerned about me. I have been seeing them for several years now. I can't say enough great things about them. I would give Dr Lawson and the staff a 10 if it went that high. They listen to every concern I may have. And if it wasn't for Dr Lawson I would not be here. I was having heart problems and she sent me to the best cardiologist. But a huge problem she found was I had a fully clogged arterie.. if she hadn't found it I would be gone. She made sure I went home and didn't do anything until I saw the surgeon. Which with her and the staffs help was in a day and the surgery was done within the week. So I thank her for that and everything else she has done for me. I have one thing to say to Keith Keller whoever you are you must have seen someone else!!! So if your considering Dr Lawson and her fabulous staff don't let his review scare you off. Thank you for my life. I love you all.
I'd like to start by saying her staff was excellent at answering questions, and listening to what I had to say. The actual doctor, where do I start? Let me begin with I made an appointment to talk about the pain in my hip, and a sleeping issue. I was sent to x-ray. X-ray showed everything was normal. X-ray results are limited and only shown. As any doctor should know, The next step should be an MRI physical therapy, etc. And my follow-up appointment , after briefly going over my sleep issue, which by the way she didn't understand the results I got from a respiratory therapist. I asked about my hip pain, she said what hip pain Charles. I said my name is Keith by the way nice to see you really looked into my file. She asked if I ever went by Charles? I said no keep in mind again this was only my second visit. So not only do you have any confused with another patient, you have no clue why I made an appointment. Then ask me if she should send me a physical therapy. Under the impression that she was the doctor and I was the patient. I was asked questions was cut off during my answer. When I tried to ask more questions I was cut off during The question. So if you want a doctor that doesn't let you ask questions or finish your answer this is the one for you. However if you want a doctor that will find out what's wrong with you, or if you want to ask questions about your health. I would recommend any other doctor in the world.
Not only a good doctor but very caring about not doing anything painful. And she takes the time to listen.
She took my concerns seriously, offered a great deal if knowledge and help, performed all needed tests. She is very personable and thirough.
Dr. Lawson is so caring along with her entire staff. I am so glad to find a wonderful Doctor.
Dr. Lawson and her staff are the best they really care about you

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process.
