List of Dayanthi Kurukulasuriya's Reviews
I am a patient at True Care. I had this appointment with Dr. Dayanthi Kurukulasuriya in December of 2021. Dr. Kurukulasuriya is a horrible person and she should not be practicing as a family medicine doctor. During my appointment with her in the exam room Dr. K. disrespected me because she was arguing with me about my medical condition and she told me I will have to be on this medication for the rest of my life. I disagree with her. I talked to this medical director who works for Tri-City Medical Center he told me I only need to be on this medication for 2 years. I trust this doctor and he is being honest with me. I don't trust Dr. K at all. Dr. K also forced me to take this HIV Blood Test, after I told her I don't have it. She had a lab technician take my blood test. I received a phone call that was 5 days later from a medical assistant at True Care. My test results came up Normal. I don't have it. I already said I don't have HIV. Then Dr. K ordered (8 Surgerical Procedures) without my consent for me to have done within (6 months) at Tri-City Medical Center. I Googled these (8 Surgeries) to find out what these Surgeries are for. These (8 Surgeries) are for people who have Dead Tissue in the arms or legs or had their skin deeply burned or received scars from a fire. I don't have Dead Tissue in my legs and I have never been burned in a fire. These (8 Surgical Procedures) are not necessary for my medical condition. Dr. K is still trying to get away with making a profit off of me and my medical insurance company. I called my medical insurance company and told a rep. about Dr. K. ordered these (8 Surgeries ) that are not necessary and dangerous for my medical condition. I received this Notice of Action Request in the mail last week from my medical insurance company that lists these (8 Surgeries), that Dr. K ordered for me without discussing any of these (8 surgical procedures) with me. I have the right as a patient to refuse to get these 8 surgeries that I don't need and I don't want. This final thing Dr. K also ordered an ultrasound test for me to get done at this Imaging Center located in San Marcos, CA. I got a call last week from this woman who told me she received a referral from True Care. I refused this ultrasound test. I already had this Ultrasound Test done on December 9, 2021 at Tri-City Medical Center. This Imaging Technician told me that my results are Normal and she told me I am fine. I was the one who requested to have this ultrasound test done at Tri-City Medical Center not True Care or not from Dr. K. This Tri-City Medical Center Hospital is reputable and has been in business for over 30 years. I called my medical insurance company and I said I want to change to a new woman doctor. I was given a list of new women doctors to sign up with. Dr. K should not be practicing (family medicine) at all because she does not care about her patients or me. Also Dr. K has ordered 8 unnecessary surgeries that are dangerous and will be very painful for me to get done. Dr. K. should be (reprimanded or have a formal complaint) filed against her. She should not be allowed to get away with trying to make a profit off of me and my medical insurance company. Please don't get treatment at True Care and don't have Dr. K as your primary care doctor. Please, I want to help other potential people who are looking for a good doctor. Steer clear of this awful doctor.
Zero bedside manner. Never has time to discuss all your issues, but then blathers on about detailed medical information that I don't need. Should really take "How to interact with patients, 101."
DO NOT TRUST this doctor. She is like a robot. I was bleeding for 40 days and went to TRUECARE/Nchs Oceanside to check what was going on. She didn’t care at all about my bleeding. She prescribed a different birth control pill , sent me to do a transvaginal ultrasound and a blood test and never found out what I had. I went to my home birth country Brazil and and did the same tests and a couple more and they found out that I had uterine polyps. I went back to Usa and did see this doctor again and she didn’t even take a look on my tests that I had in Brazil. I ended up going back to Brazil and I did a histeroscopy to remove them and it went to a biopsy and I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer and here I am, in Brazil, went to a total histerectomy and treatment. I’m just writing this to warn any person that have this lady as a doctor that she does not care about you. She is a shame to her profession. She is like a robot and she doesn’t even listen to her patients. I knew something was really wrong with me. I told her. She didn’t care. She doesn’t care. Be careful. Don’t even waste your time with her. I just wasted mine and everything could be different if I didn’t see this lady and wasted so much time with her.
In consideration to the last review, I would like to state on behalf for Dr. K. that her attention to detail is quite exceptional and her bedside manner is more than adequate for one just seeking professional attention and care for their problems. I do not mean to dismiss the grievance that patient experienced and maybe the circumstances in which I have been treated by Dr.K. we’re largely different and less stressful, but I stand with Dr.K’s professionalism and dedication to her practice and to her patients. I would definitely recommend her for any family in search of great care.
Very poor service. Distant, robotic and looking at her laptop my whole visit instead of checking and listening to me, probably she was googling some answers for my pains. When I told her I have excruciating pain in my neck and headache for 4 days, she said well pain differs from one to another! Really? Instead of asking from 0-10 what’s my level of pain she is giving me her general knowledge about how pain works! When I insisted, she ordered an X-ray otherwise she wasn’t going to , instead she said if you lose your vision or become dizzy you can go to the emergency room! Seriously? Then why am I here at your office to have me checked and tell me what is wrong or what are my next steps. No heart, poor service I think you need to take your Hippocratic Oath again and abide by it.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
