Never got to see the doctor, also they gave me abdominal and pelvic ultrasound and told me I have a gallbladder polyp when I went to my urologist and he got me a cat scan he told me I don't have ant polyp in my gallbladder I have a cyst in my uthero and the doctor mazarei didn't told me that..very disappointed with her office staff abs with her..I don't recommend her at all.
If I could leave no stars I would worst OB office in Oceanside! My primary care doctor told me I looked far enough along to need to get an ultrasound this office cancelled my appointment while I was there took my payment left and told me to leave
This Doctor and the clinic is the WORST! First off I went to them for nine months and they dismissed all of my pain and kept pushing for birth control without trying to figure out what was wrong. Secondly, I went to the ER for severe pelvic pain on August 19th, and was told I need to see me gyno ASAP for possible endometriosis. I was ignored, they did not want to schedule me as they refused to believe in my symptoms. Dr. Mazarei did not return my calls for my MRI follow up (ordered by my PCP to determine what type of complex cyst I had) until a week later. Finally I was able to get an appointment a month later, still in pain every day. Not able to workout, nausea every day, etc. I waited over an hour and a half to see Dr. Mazarei for a a total of 5 minutes. She completely dismissed all my pain, ignored the fact that I wanted answers because all of it was “normal” in her eyes. Then proceeded to do a exam without warning me first, pressed down with extreme weight on the area that is painful and did not care I was in pain. I left crying and felt so violated. Told me that it is not related to my uterus or other lady parts. Ordered me BC without my consent, didn’t want to figure out the issue. Said she would give me ultrasound order (after I insisted i needed one) to take with me while I move to PA but never gave it to me. Long story short, 2 and half months later after a few ER visits I have been diagnosed with endometriosis. My new doctor is extremely nice, helpful, understanding, and didn’t tell me that my pain was not serious. Please do NOT go to this doctor if you believe you have endo.Seek out a specialist, one who preferably specializes in excision surgery.
To be truthful , it was seriously a rushed appointment with no specific details . Dr just went in and took off without telling me if a nurse was going to come in to talk to me or go to the lobby to schedule an appointment. Waited at least 20mins to realize I was just left alone with no info. What a waste of time and money! Absolutely unprofessional! Not coming back .
Writing this review on behalf of my wife. An outpatient procedure costed my PPO insurance $24,000! Then we received several bills from OTHER doctors that apparently "assisted" in the procedure without my wife's knowledge. Finally, we received one last bill for $375! Upon speaking with our insurance we discovered that the office CAN bill that amount because we have a PPO insurance and used an out of network doctor. We have filed a grievance through our insurance and cancelled my wife's one year follow-up appointment with this doctor. Very deceptive billing and unorganized staff! My wife did love the doctor though, that was the only positive thing from this entire experience!
So so so unprofessional. You walk in, and the entire place is basically one giant advertisement for their “body sculpting” services, which isn’t very reassuring when you’re supposedly walking into a doctors office that’s suppose to help with medical issues, not cosmetic ones. When I got there, I had to wait about an hour for the doctor because she was delivering a baby. I was understanding of this, and spent my time waiting filling out forms and organizing their messy table of magazines. In these forms, I had filled out that I was on my period. I had also told the lady at the front desk that I was and asked her if it would be a problem, and she said it wouldn’t. After waiting the hour and thirty minutes, I was seen into one of the rooms. A nurse came in and asked me some questions about the problems I was having, and within this interaction I also told her that I was on my period, and asked once again if it would be a problem, and she said no. Finally the doctor comes in after about 15 minutes. She leaves the room as I go to get undressed, and then comes back when I’m ready. She starts the exam and instantly notices I’m on my period. “Oh you’re on your period?! Oh no, we can’t do the exam today” What? Are you serious? I asked every other employee in your office if it would be okay, and they all said yes. She makes me get dressed, and tells me she’ll be referring me to a person for an ultra sound and a completely different person for a urine test, both that will cost hundreds of dollars. I get to the front desk, and I’m asked to pay $350 for my appointment... the appointment where I had to wait an hour and a half in the waiting room and only actually saw the doctor for 10 minutes... and she didn’t even do anything. What a waste of money and time. I feel entirely robbed by this establishment. I’m truly so shocked this place has even one good rating, let alone multiple.
I could not be more dissatisfied with my experiences with Dr. Mazarei, which is surprising based on the reviews here. With our interactions with her, she gave the impression that she couldn't care less, seems confused and unfamiliar with the equipment she uses, and doesn't even bother to ask if we have questions or answer the questions we do have. Definitely changing Dr.s. Not sure what happened with her customer service, but with her lack of compassion, I'd go as far as to recommend that she quit this line of work.***UPDATE***After transferring to a different doctor based on the poor service and experiences at Dr. Mazarei's office, our new doctor was surprised we had two appointments based on the lack of documentation. Not surprising, but confirms our decision to be seen by another doctor. Highly advise against Dr. Mazarei.
Stunned this place has so many good reviews. Do not go here if you want communicative care. Here you’ll find your phone calls are never returned no matter how many times you call, and they also didn’t help when I was throwing up and so dehydrated I had lost 10lbs in one week alone. Then when I started have random panic attacks didn’t help me get through them. It could have caused a miscarriage. Their lack of treatment and support is going to end up killing a mother or her child. GO ANYWHERE ELSE.
Thank you everyone in the staff office that accommodate me & arrange me to see Dr. Suntay who is very professional. I mess up the appointment on Monday October 19 instead of October 12. You guys are so nice to let me stay instead of reschedule me. Thanks for your understanding and professionalism.
My son was just born at 37w2d stillborn weighing 2lbs 16oz. My whole pregnancy I was concerned because my stomach was small, I was told it was fine. Clearly it was not because at some point my son stopped growing. Worst place to go EVER. I thought I was overthinking not getting the right care and now I know I wasn’t and maybe if I would’ve my son would’ve made it.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
