Went today and saw Dr Sarah Caroll and was very happy with my experience. Got water plugged in an ear after a fun boat outing and have been dealing with pain for about 3 weeks, needed it drained. Not the first time I had this procedure done and was nervous to pick a new location bc I know how painful it could be. Recently got new insurance and once I uploaded my info they called to let me know they didn't take it :( asked about the pricing for this procedure and thought it was worth just paying to go somewhere that would take care of me so went anyway and I'm glad I did. Dr. Caroll did a great job and I felt no pain and had the pressure/plug alleviated immediately. I've had this same procedure before from other doctors that was extremely painful so I braced myself and she kept checking in making sure I was ok and not rough at all. Recommend

He won't listen when you try to tell him why you needed the appt.

Dr. Richard Liu is one of the best doctors I have ever encountered. Not only does he have the kindest best side manner, he is an extremely talented surgeon. He performed a very difficult rhinoplasty on me, providing beautiful results inside and out. I am forever thankful for him and his team.

Would not recommend. Went here thinking i would get the help and answer I needed. I was given high dose Prednisone tapering, it made me more sick when i started the treatment. Called him several times to let him know how i felt much worst and i was told i might or might not get better within 2-3 months time???? and to follow up it did made me feel better or not??? went to see another associate there for 2nd opinion.

Awful experience with Dr. Jacobs. I came from San Clemente to see this doctor because of the good Yelp reviews. He was so rough with my ears that it brought me to tears. After telling him to please not go so deep or stab my ear drum, he said he wouldn't and continued to do so. Almost got up from the chair right there. Left in tears. Will never be back. The only good thing that came from it was he actually was right that there was a scab on my ear drum but his approach was awful. He has a complete lack of bedside manner.

I've been in San Diego for ten year and Dr. Jacobs has been my ear doctor all of that time, and I wouldn't consider having any one else to take care of me. He is a skilled doctor and has gotten my chronic ear problem under control and he has been available whenever I needed him. He is so warm and caring that he makes you feel like one of the family. I can't say too much of how wonderful a doctor and person that he is. When he talks to you, you can feel his concern. I would recommend Dr. Jacobs to anyone that needs an exceptional ear doctor and surgeon.

Well, looking for an ENT, my husbands ear is impacted with wax. All I am reading about is this Dr. Jacobs. So I call up to make an apt. With him but no openings(Boy, no shock there!) They tell me that there is an opening for his associate Dr. Liu. Haven't read about him. Hmmm. Should I chance it? Yeah well my husband is driving me nuts, I better go for it. Well let me tell u, I am so so very glad we did! This Dr. is a Dr. whom I feel really loves I mean loves his job n we loved him. He is sooo patient. Explained every step before he did anything, and there were many many times my husband was squirming and he would stop to let him calm down. He also let me look at the inside of my husbands ear with the microscope! You could really tell he loved his profession! I think he said he was kind a new there. Well it goes to figure, all that I have read about Dr. Jacobs and now knowing Dr. Liu they are a perfect match. Both caring and patient Drs. You are in good hands with them both I'm sure!

I find Dr. Jacobs very knowledgeable and professional. He took the time to explain my condition using anatomic chart and took care of me with minimal intervention (I am not into taking pharmaceuticals of any sort). Nursing and front staff were equally exceptional even when I had my referral authorization from my PCP still pending.

I was a new patient to this practice today. I forgot my insurance card. Staff was very courteous and patient as I called and got the information. Dr. Jacobs was personable and knowledgeable about both ear issues needing attention. I felt he was conservative and effective, and understood my issues and my concerns. He was gentle and already solved one of my issues, and has a plan for the other. I appreciated the doctor, the staff and the short wait time. Great experience!

Went to Dr. Jacobs today for the first time. My significant other doesn't have insurance and it's one of the few places that will take patients that is by cash/card basis. To begin super reasonably priced! Dr. Jacobs has amazing bedside manor and explained everything before he did it. My significant other has very sensitive ears and had a traumatic experience as a child that makes it even worse. We had gone to the urgent care three times to try and have the ear wax removed from his very impacted ears, but no success so finally after months of convincing we finally made an appointment with a specialist. Dr. Jacobs has a lot of tools to extract ear wax but he has the experience and bedside manor to make it a GREAT experience. Minimal pain and finally he can hear! We will definitely will be going back when necessary. I would definitely recommend Dr. Jacobs!
