I'm sad the ambulance brought me here! This place really treats you 😢 badly they make you feel unwanted and I couldn't even get a room I couldn't even get a iv started and I was so dehydrated. I asked for socks because the ambulance picked me up with no shoes or socks, and now I'm leaving with no room, still no socks after 5 hours. This is horrible. I liked Courtney from lab though she was very sweet!
Mom almost died here from dr NEGLIGENCE. Dr withheld meds from mom, a cancer patient, causing her to have 5 seizures. Multiple Drs confirmed afterwards it was due to the sudden stoppage of all meds that her first Dr caused. Had to fight to get my mom back on her meds so the seizures would stop-- They gave her low doses which didn't stop the seizures. Increasing it a bit didnt stop the seizures...eventually the dr's prescribed her REGULAR dosage which, surprise!, STOPPED the seizures. Mom was there for an infection, there was no reason to stop ALL her meds--that Dr had all her medical history! What should've been simple antibiotics turned into mom having seizures & sudden withdrawals of ALL the meds she takes for cancer.Pointless suffering from an incompetent Dr who didnt know the common knowledge that "suddenly stopping that medication WILL cause seizures" (literally the first result on google). That Dr didnt care even though she saw records from mom's PALLIATIVE Drs, had all her medical records; Dr thought she knew better & had a spoken agenda against meds like that (even when taken by someone with advanced cancer). This Dr's agenda caused those seizures unnecessarily--every Dr afterwards agreed that was literally her fault.Dangerously understaffed: trying to find a nurse when a seizure was happening was difficult & terrifying. Imagine BEGGING for help for your loved one but no one can come because this hospital didn't hire enough nurses/aides to cover their patient load. I had to do seizure first aid ALONE because no one showed up, they were busy with their 10 other patients each, because this hospital assigns so many patients to just a few nurses, and it's not feasible & it affects their care! Nurses were so kind and helpful but overwhelmed and burnt out.You must be an advocate because this place is perfectly fine just leaving someone suffering ALONE for hours at a time. You have to FIGHT for every test, medication, medical records; I had nurses claiming there were no records they could give me of what meds/treatments they gave mom... so it's a mystery what they'll do to your loved one. Many patients didnt have an advocate & I heard them suffering, alone, for long periods of time, calling out for help but no one ever came. This happened months ago & mom is still recovering from that. All her regular Drs are APPALLED at what that Dr did, and shocked at the quality of this hospital. I would never step foot in this place after what I saw.
Went in for a muscle spasm in my strained back and later got charged for an I.V. therapy that I never received.-------------------------------------------------------------------UPDATE: On Saturday January 8, 2022 my significant other, who has covid, went in for treatment since he was also experiencing excruciating neck pain from a lingering injury from being in a car accident which was giving him screaming headaches. They refused to admit him and turned him away, claiming they were too busy and already swamped with a bunch of sick people. It's a hospital! That's why people go there! Based on the way he described to me what happened they essentially told him that it's just tough luck that he has coronavirus. Didn't give him anything for the pain to help and just sent him on his way. And these people are supposed to be the ones who care the most about helping people?! It seems they really couldn't care less. We're now considering consulting an attorney since this might amount to an EMTALA violation that constitutes patient dumping since they discriminated against him based on perceived worth.
After explaining my staph infection and the pain i was in and the fact that i could not sit or stand. They said go have a seat lol it will be a couple hours. Neglected and forced to drain it myself. Thanks a lot Tri city know for a fact you weren’t busy. Im in so much pain and I didn’t cut deep enough to drain it it’s just bleeding. But after the way I was reprimanded for complaining about it being five hours there’s no way I could go in there and let them cut me up in the way I was feeling. Not finished with the review but I am lightheaded so I will finish tomorrow
Went for severe stomach pain, didn't get seen for 7-8 hours and kept sending me a $1,100 bill. Husband called to fix it to which they said they did. I get another notification in the mail about the same bill so I called and they said they took care of it with my insurance. Got sent another notification and they tell me to "just ignore any further notifications." Months later, a crediting company sends me the same bill saying it's from tricity AGAIN and that if I ignore it it could detract from my credit score.Visited the ER for bleeding during my first pregnancy. Was told I would not be billed other than the $130 for the ER visit. I get sent a $700 bill to which I call and they fix, resent me a corrected bill of $130 that u paid the second I received. 2 months later I get YET ANOTHER BILL for the same visit only I'm being charged for about $4,000 as well as a $30 bill I had ALREADY PAID.Check ins take very long due to their lack of updated technology.I assume this will be replied with a less than arbitrary, insincere automated response. Just had to get this out there before I make another phone call to this wretched place. Is there a 0 star rating?
I wanted to share my experience delivering at Tri-City. I am a Kaiser patient, and I was suppose to deliver at Palomar. I had severe bleeding and was taken to Tri-City by ambulance. I just have to say, God works in mysterious ways. From the beginning at Labor and Delivery, the care I received was amazing. My son was having drops in his heart beat, and the OB that talked to me recommended delivery. It was a scary and stressful situation, but the nurses and doctors there help guide me through the process. I delivered a healthy baby boy with no complications. The care I received after was also amazing. The nurses and doctors in post partum we're so kind and professional. The OBs, the anesthesia doctor, the pediatricians, were all amazing. I got so much useful information about my baby and felt prepared to take him home. I couldn't have been happier with my stay. I don't understand why this hospital gets such a bad rap. Yes, it's old, but they truly go out of their way to make their parents happy. I plan on delivering the rest of my children here after several bad experiences at Palomar. Thank you Tri-City.
SCAM ALERT!! Predatory practices !Stay far far away from this place . Visited 5 Months while seeing family . I had what semmed to be Covid symptoms. Instead of giving me a simple covid test they proceed to tell me I need multiple tests. Mind you this is with insurance. I just received a bill for almost $6,000!!They even put me in a room with a bed that I didn’t need just to tell me I had tested positive for covid as I waited and had test after test for 6+ Hours and doing multiple unneeded tests . Not one time was I offered even a sip of water the entire time. Not in waiting rooms or the so called “hospital bed” they put me in while they waited for all these tests. They’re looking to take advantage of people. I’ll be fighting it but save yourself the headache . Unless you’re dying , don’t waste money you could’ve literally bought a used car for the price they charge .Unacceptable and sad is all I can say at this point .
Horrible Admitting! Horrible nursing care! Beyond disgusting, low-quality meals! Most horrific hospital experience EVER!!!!!!!!!! I wouldn’t have picked this hospital in a million years if they’d paid me because it has such a terrible reputation however, it was my doctors preference to do my surgery at this location as it is closer to his office. Went there about three/four days prior to my surgery as requested to provide i.d. & insurance information and also, to fully complete my registration process. When I arrived the morning of my surgery (in full panic mode because I suffer from extreme anxiety), they informed me that ALL of my registration information was MYSTERIOUSLY lost. The completely unprofessional registrar shrugged it off as if it was business as usual and didn’t matter. After the surgery and recovery (in which I basically took care of myself), I had to leave w/out discharge paperwork because even though doctor signed me out @8am and meds were done shortly after, they refused to let me go until after noon. All the staff kept making lame excuses to keep me there even though by all reasonable accounts, I was absolutely free to go. After having my repeated requests ignored, I finally removed my own i.v. and gathered my things and left. Just as I was exiting, two nurses came running after me SCREAMING that I wasn’t allowed to leave (I knew for certain my discharge orders were signed that morning around 8am). As I exited the main doors, one nurse followed me OUTSIDE and grabbed me by my arms while screaming that I wasn’t allowed to leave. I told her to let go or I would have her charged w/assault. She did. We left. No follow up. No call from discharge nurse to check on my well being. No inquiries about the incident. No after care. No during care. Completely unprofessional & indifferent from beginning to end!
Good place! My mom gave birth to me, and my 2 brothers.
I couldn’t be happier with the care my new born and I both received. I delivered my baby September ‘21. I admire the nurses composure at Labor and Delivery when they informed me an a emergency c section due to pregnancy complication was going to have to be done. I was not prepared for what to expect following a cesarean delivery. The after care I received at Postpartum was amazing. The nurses were highly empathetic. My baby unfortunately had to be taken to the NICU due to health complications. The doctors and nurses there were very knowledgeable and kept me informed of my new borns health everyday. Thank you Tri City staff for making this traumatic experience a positive experience.
worst hospital ever! they don't communicate anything to you. everyone there is rude. my husband was just diagnosed with cancer and he had to do a bunch of tests there and it has been one of the worst experiences we've ever had. go anywhere else but here.
The ER here is terrible. What kind of doctor tries giving medication that can cause slowed breathing to someone who came in with difficulty breathing (non COVID)? These doctors aren’t listening. They just give you whatever medication to make it look like they “helped” you.TriCity, don’t bother responding with your PR bs
Today I went to TriCity to get my Covid booster vaccination. The scheduling, check in and vaccination was such a breeze. In and out in 30 min. All staff and volunteers were very professional and helpful. Thanks again!
Back in march I fell off my electric longboard and went to urgent care to see what’s up. I wait in a room for 2 hours with sick people that had COVID. I get an X-ray with no diagnosis and a splint afterwards. We get the bill today, 4000 dollars. Most expensive splint in human history
Whatever you do, try to stay away from the emergency room, unless you want to be there for 8 hours.
Great help for a late night emergency
This was the worst ER experience of my life. On vacation with my husband and grandson and started having back spasms. Went to this ER and thought I was lucky because there was only one person in the waiting room. But waited for over 90 minutes to see a doc and she was absolutely useless. I have had these spasms about 6 times in the last ten years and I know that one dose of opioids will knock it right out but the doc didn’t want to listen to me. Told me what she would do and it was a take it or leave it situation. No empathy from the doc or any of the many nurses roaming around. They did nothing to alleviate my pain while I was waiting (yes, it was obvious by my tears that I was in pain). Because the doc wouldn’t listen to me, I had to endure the pain for two more days including a plane ride home. This ER is useless……go into it with greatly reduced expectations.
I just had a total knee replacement with Dr. Robert Afra on 09/07/2021 here at Tri-City. Outstanding service, very attentive, nurses, assistants, and the other Doctors. I cannnot understand why anybody would give any negative reviews. Omar who rolled me downstairs at discharge was very professional and a friendly German Nurse cheered me up with her attitude. I was doped up so sorry cannot remember all of the other staff names. Teri is fantastic, and the registration desk are very welcoming. They went over everything up front so I had no surprises at the end.Superstar team a job well done! Highly recommend. The lunch was delicious too!
I've had to visit this hospital's emergency room numerous times due to my spinal fusion that I had done on my lower back. The doctors and nurses here at this hospital were outstanding!
I will never come back again!!! So bad 👎
